  1. Well duh - I also missed the d in tdci (diesel). How does it drive with the Diesel engine?
  2. Sweden?!? I completely missed that. The classic Fords threw me off. It does look like Sports in Sweden get the 2.0L TDCI. My mistake!
  3. Welcome! Just FYI if you have a Sport you actually have the 2.7L TDCI V6 engine, not the 2.0L tdci I4. We had 2 white platinum vehicles for a total of 8 years (Edge and Escape). It's a great color, especially under streetlights at night. My dream classic vehicle is a 77 F100 ranger xlt shortbed. I plan to restore one when I retire. Got any pics of the 74 f100?
  4. If it's really such a safety issue, then you should replace the latch immediately. As long as you save the receipt, if a recall is issued later you will get reimbursed. Not replacing the latch because you're waiting for a recall and then saying you're worried about your family's safety is ridiculous.
  5. If you consider the expensive equipment and training that's required to work on modern vehicles it's easy to see why they're charging those rates even for simple jobs.
  6. The software update does change parameters. It changes how the sensor inputs are interpreted and what happens under different conditions. If it doesn't fix the underlying problem you'll know it pretty soon.
  7. It is the sensor but the sensor is built into the latch, not a separate component.
  8. There are youtube videos on how to clean it - might work temporarily.
  9. Checking the DORA is the only way to correct an incorrect order.
  10. Poor customer service would be releasing the software to the public when it still had bugs or releasing it to iphone owners without the ability to get the new hub to enable carplay.
  11. The dishonesty sucks. I would not go back there if you have an alternative. You should let the owner know what happened.
  12. Always ask for a copy of the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) and check the options.
  13. So if they had waited and called it 1.1 you'd be happy?
  14. Your car is used the minute you sign the papers anyway. We bought a used Focus with 100 miles on it because the older couple couldn't figure out my Ford touch. As long as there was nothing mechanically wrong with it I wouldn't be concerned.
  15. Why would Ford be upset about a 3rd party warranty?
  16. Did you already ask this question? Can you test your phone with another bluetooth device? It's most likely a phone problem.
  17. There is a separate chirp when locking/unlocking the vehicle - more of a beep actually. I think this is controlled by the menu setting. This does not use the horn. If you exit the vehicle with the engine running and the only fob with you and close the door the horn honks twice.
  18. On my 2016 there is a chirp for lock/unlock but it still honks the horn twice when closing the door with the engine running and the key not in the vehicle. I don't think they changed that for 2017, did they?
  19. 100 lb/ft has been the Ford standard for decades. 162 does sound way too high.
  20. That's actually a desirable function in a sports car - it holds you in the seat better during spirited driving, so I assume that's why they chose to use it on the Sport model. I do think it should be an option though.
  21. Just FYI they no longer use Freon. It's R-134a.
  22. I'll have to pay attention to before and after to see if I notice any difference. I'm waiting for wi-fi update.
  23. Why would you pay $20/month for something you can only use in One vehicle when you can get an unlimited plan for your phone and use it everywhere including other vehicles.
  24. I haven't noticed any issues with voice prompts or responsiveness. Then again I don't use that a lot. I still maintain that unless you're having issues with 1.0 or you're Jonesing for AA/CP there isn't much reason to complain about 2.2 not being GA yet, especially when it's available if you really want it.
  25. The order guide calls that a twin panel moonroof, not a panoramic vista roof. It looks like a normal moonroof with a second glass panel. It's different.
