Like I said - it should notify you as long as you're not actually in the text conversation on the phone. In that case you still get a pop up notification on the phone itself which triggers sync. I think Ford says that because it's easier than trying to explain that you can't be in the text conversation.
-
Of course you have options - take it to another dealer!
-
I don't think it matters if it's locked - but if it's unlocked and you're in the text conversation then the phone itself does not give you a notification so neither does Sync. So you can have the phone locked or just not be in the text conversation.

Look at the video Omar posted. Every ball compass ever made HAS to be that way or it simply won't work. Here is an analogy: Picture a 55 gallon drum with the directions painted on it. As you walk around the drum (facing the drum) it tells you the direction you're facing. If you're facing North and you walk around to your right (counter clockwise) you're now facing West therefore the right side of the drum says West, not East. If you were inside the drum then it would look the way you expect - West would be on the left.

SYNC 3 and CarPlay/Android Auto Information
akirby replied to jmr061's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Not yet. Some MKX owners have gotten the update via owner.lincoln.com (USB) but no OTA yet. -
Wow - sounds like it may have been damaged in transit and repaired. Ford (or the dealer) should buy it back and swap it out for you.
-
It's normal and correct. If you look at an actual bubble compass the interior remains still while the outside rotates. So if you're facing North and you turn left (West), the indicator is actually moving towards the right (backwards).

Did you turn on notifications on the iPhone under the sync Bluetooth connection? You have to do that after you update the software on the phone or sync usually.

In the interim find a relatively flat stretch of highway where you can set the cruise around 55-60 mph then reset the computer mpg and drive for a few minutes then check the mpg avg.
-
Traction control is probably either a wheel sensor, tone ring or wiring and unrelated to the shudder (not shutter - shutters go on windows). On the other issue I would check out the front axle shafts, boots, cv joints, etc.

Second gen. Edge - Line item option delete?

Not unless your name is Mark Fields. -
Shouldn't you ask yourself why they removed it?

That makes sense. -

I get that to some degree but going without the option really doesn't hurt anyone but you. If it was $1000 option that you couldn't take out it would make more sense to me. -

Why on earth would you give up the heated wheel just because of the winter mats? You can sell them or throw them away. -
Happy that option that you never had to use in the first place is not available. Got it.

I've never had any trouble with the push pins on any later model Fords. Perhaps yours were damaged on removal and just need to be replaced.

If they take away my vertical tachometer I'm going to be so pissed......

Anti Lock and Anti Skid lights are on

Wheel speed sensor, broken tone ring or wiring. The codes should identify the wheel. -
Who manufactures the throttle bodies?
-
I'm sure it's limited to FWD versions for packaging reasons. But there have been a fair number of those as well (have one in my MKX).
-
Sorry about that. You're going to end up replacing the fan/controller. Bite the bullet and follow autom8r's excellent instructions.
-
If one fan is running then the controller is getting power and a signal. I've never heard of a fan failure that wasn't the fan/controller unit.
-
No need since the kit comes with both the fans and controller. Even if it didn't you wouldn't want to change only one.
