So it stays connected for a short time after shutting off the vehicle? As long as it can stop and restart the download that should eventually work even for large downloads. If it only stays connected while the vehicle is running then wi-fi updates will never happen.

I assumed it stayed connected to wifi while the vehicle was off and could do the download overnight.

I used the 12V power point in the rear cargo area. 2016 MKX.

I've had it for 4 years on my Fusion and the only time I've used it is when I accidentally hit the button on the end of the turn signal stalk - it takes me a few seconds to turn it back off.

Because both heated wheels and rubber mats are frequently used together in colder climates. Look at it this way - they could have left out the mats and just added $200 to the cost of the Edge and you would have bought it without batting an eye. Or if the cost of the heated wheel by itself was the same as the wheel and the mats you wouldn't have cared. Just seems silly to go without a feature you really like based on a $100 set of floor mats either way.

Which anemic 4-cylinder are you referring to? The 2.0 is also an EB and it's nowhere close to anemic.

Sorry to keep repeating this but there is no SD card with sync 3. Maps are all internal.

That's what I tried to tell you in post 2 - guess I didn't go a good job. IMO they work just fine on auto and I've had them on several different vehicles. If you get a light mist and they don't come on soon enough just bump the stalk to initiate a wipe and they're usually fine after that. Adjust the sensitivity as needed. And please, please, please - RTFM.

I would suspect the phone before sync 3 unless it's doing the same thing on 2 different phones. Try doing a hard reboot on the phone and make sure you have the latest OS update.

The 3.5L and 3.7L are strong engines but lack that off the line power you get with the ecoboost engines. They do perform better at higher RPM but I find myself flooring the 3.7L in the MKX to get it moving whereas with the EB (even the small 2.0) you get instant torque at low RPM. It all depends on how hard you're used to accelerating. For my wife who hardly ever goes past 50% throttle she'd never notice the difference.

You'd have to put it on the outside of the windshield itself which is hard to reach and make sure the wipers don't get you if it does activate. Also not sure just covering it with your hand will actually activate it.

Check the left hand menu options to see if you have the auto wiper option. If you do then make sure it's set to On. You can test it by spraying it with a hose in the driveway.

Slight correction. If you have auto-wipers but you turn them off via the left hand menu, they will operate just like regular intermittent wipers.

Pressing the climate button first is no big deal no matter how you want to spin it. We keep ours on the audio screen so even if it was on the home screen like you can do with Forscan it would be an extra button press. A hard button is obviously the best solution from a consumer standpoint but it's also more costly for Ford to have two different button configurations depending on the option package.

It's only a button press away anyway. Not a huge deal.
