  1. Try doing a hard reset on the phone first followed by a master rest on sync if necessary.
  2. That would be nice, but I thought you were talking about including a PDF on a usb drive with the new vehicle - that wouldn't be necessary.
  3. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14584-2014-edge-with-vista-roof-and-question-about-side-rails-roof-rack/?hl=%2Broof+%2Brails
  4. I just downloaded and saved the pdf window sticker for a F150 in stock at my local dealer from the dealer website. Took about 3 seconds. Point is it's already available via the links on the dealer and ford websites.
  5. You can go right now and get any window sticker for any vehicle in Ford's inventory at any dealer - and it's usually still there for at least a few days after you buy it.
  6. I'm sure it's just additional security. The dealer websites all have access to the window sticker pdf as well as the Ford website.
  7. Doubtful. Especially when you can get it off the dealer website when you buy the vehicle for free.
  8. Check out their other stuff on youtube (Home Free). Pretty amazing stuff considering they don't use any actual instruments.
  9. It's cheaper and easier just to keep them in a Ford database and provide dealer's free access from their websites.
  10. At one time Ford was selling a base alarm that did not include the doors, hood or liftgate. I forgot what they called it nor do I remember exactly what it did monitor, but that was probably just their way of distinguishing it from the base alarm. I agree it doesn't make much sense.
  11. If you walked into a store and there was a new one on the shelf for $599 and one that had obviously been opened and returned for $550, which one would you buy? To me it's not worth the risk. Others may think it's a bargain. To each his own.
  12. Yes the perimeter alarm is just doors hood and liftgate. The enhanced security that detects movement inside is an extra option even on the Titanium. It was a separate option on our MKX reserve but I haven't tested it yet.
  13. But not nearly as exciting. Speaking of voltage testing, whoever designed the auto-shutoff on the Klein proximity voltage sensor needs a slap. When you get it near a live A/C line it beeps and lights up. Works great. I need to do something in the sub panel so I turned off the breaker in the main box (right next to it), triple check that it's clear, and lay down the voltage tester while I start to do the work. About 2 minutes later it decides to auto-shutoff - which is a great thing except that when it does so it BEEPS loudly and very similarly to how it beeps when it detects live wires. Almost crapped my pants because I was inside the panel with a screwdriver very close to the wires. Thanks Klein.....
  14. Might be $75 including sales tax, but who on Earth would go through all that just to save $50-$75 as opposed to just buying a brand new one?
  15. Ford does a lot of engineering on the OEM wheel and suspension setups. Changing the wheels or the springs could yield not so great results.
  16. Overkill for street use but looks great. Also not a fan of drilled rotors (other than looks). Pay attention and check for cracks frequently.
  17. Or maybe the heated wheel is really $350 by itself and they're throwing in the floor mats for free.
  18. Check this out, especially the last note.
  19. Maybe you have a typo in your vin? Anybody else with a 2011 try it?
  20. So it stays connected for a short time after shutting off the vehicle? As long as it can stop and restart the download that should eventually work even for large downloads. If it only stays connected while the vehicle is running then wi-fi updates will never happen.
  21. I assumed it stayed connected to wifi while the vehicle was off and could do the download overnight.
