Maybe, but I doubt it.

Purge valve/canister?
-
That's not the correct oil. You need 5W20 (or whatever the owner's manual says - pretty sure it's 5W20).
-
Is it specific to the Edge or is it just a generic filter that fits anything?
-
For $60 it's probably worth a shot. I wonder what Factory authorized really means in this context? Probably just means they paid Ford a marketing fee.
-
How would you know it's accurate?
-
Ok guys I see your point so I do apologize. That's still no excuse for a GFY though.

Whatever your opinion of me, personal attacks won't be tolerated.

In my experience it's 80% just being lazy and wanting someone else to do the research and 20% did a search but did not find the answer. It takes less time to do a quick google search or search the online manual pdf than it does to log in here and post a question which might not be answered for several hours or days.
-
For some reason people think it's easier to just ask a question and wait for someone else to do the research for them rather than take a few minutes to search themselves. I don't get it.

Heavier wheels would probably dictate heavier springs but I don't know if the OEM sport wheels are that much heavier so it's hard to say. Same for shocks. The problem is you don't really know how those stock parts will perform with your non-stock wheels. Ford goes to a lot of trouble to match the OEM setups so you get a consistent feel whether you have 18s, 19s, 20s or 22s. Just changing one piece of the puzzle can yield bad results.

Does seem excessive just based on wheels. When you let off the gas does it coast normally or does it slow down quickly?
-
Haven't heard any updates but since it simply plugs into the obd-ii port it should be completely portable.

But you don't have to pay $7k for a new engine. A good used engine is probably $4K. Or you ditch the vehicle and get a new one. But you're correct that it all comes down to how lucky you feel and your risk comfort level.

Sledge, ball peen or framing?
-
I hate to beleaguer the point, but the difference is if your home burned down you probably can't afford to pay for the replacement out of pocket. Or pay $100K in medical bills. Likewise having auto insurance. But the most you would ever have to pay for repairs on a vehicle is a few thousand dollars. Above that and you would just get rid of it. I see 4 types of owners: Fixed income or otherwise cannot afford a large repair bill - finance the warranty with the vehicle so you only pay a small amount each month Gambler - thinks the cost will be outweighed by the repairs on that particular vehicle Can afford a large repair bill but would rather pay a certain amount up front and avoid surprises even if it costs more in the long run Can afford a large repair bill and is looking for the lowest cost over time (on average and over a large number of vehicles)

Anyone ever buy their Edge after lease end?
akirby replied to WingNut's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Agreed! -
Brakes are covered for the first 12 months/12K miles IIRC.
-
Something is wrong and it isn't the tire size. Perhaps something is rubbing somewhere.

I considered doing the same thing when I had multiple vehicles just to keep payments lower. You do typically pay more in finance charges depending on how long you finance for at the end of the lease unless you got a killer deal on the lease up front. The other advantage to doing that is if you don't like the vehicle or just decide not to keep it you can walk away. Or if the market drops and the buyout is too high you can walk away. -
Recreational Flat Towing - 2017 Edge

I think Duane is right but it's a moot point because it doesn't reset the sync 3 settings to leave the cable disconnected. -

No it doesn't. -
Don't get your panties in a wad again. The way you post about these products certainly sounds like a spammer even if you're not. And I'll repeat again - there is not turbo lag in an ecoboost engine. The turbos are small and spin up quickly so you get instant torque. The trade off is it runs out of power at higher rpm. And I've driven one every day for the last 4 years. You can also see it in the torque curve. There is a lag and pedal max and other similar devices do get rid of that lag by essentially tricking the computer about how hard the pedal is being depressed. If you want to use it - fine. Others prefer a tune. That's fine too. Don't get so defensive - it makes your posts that much more suspicious.
