It's a fact that oil will break down faster under certain conditions. So the theory is perfectly sound. The question is whether it's actually implemented as described.

That's the one thing I didn't like when I was working at the office. Calling home right after leaving work I'd have to manually lower the fan speed (or raise the temperature) in the summer so I could hear the phone. Now I just turn off the laptop and walk upstairs.

I had heard of that feature but never experienced it on our MKX. Pretty cool.

Are you still running Sync 3 1.0? You need at least 2.0. 2.2 is available for installation at owner.ford.com.

Have you tried disconnecting the battery to reset everything?

I believe with clay you have to wash the vehicle afterwards. With this it's not necessary since there is no residue. Other than that it's just marketing speak.

Most people probably feel it's a waste of time.

Yes but not easily or cheaply and not factory supported.

it doesn't really use a directory with that name - it just doesn't display the actual directory used for security reasons.

It was based on Ray Heath's comment that the information was readily available via a simple google search. It was also really more of a general comment about posters in general based on what I've observed the last 15 years on various forums. It's just one of my hot buttons. I should not have implied that you did not do any type of search. So yes, let's move on.

Not as far as the factory navigation is concerned since yours does not have it.

What year? MFT or sync 3? Sync 3 doesn't use sd cards. MFT does but unless the vehicle came with nav from the factory adding the card won't work without replacing the apim. Sirius gives you turn by turn directions instead of a map. Or just use your smartphone for free.

Recommended to prevent battery drain avoid the 10 minute shutdown but not an absolute requirement.

Makes no sense that you can't turn off the hands free liftgate functionality. Especially when using the hitch.

I've heard that thicker oil can interfere with the VVT system. Probably not a big deal but I would switch back to 5W20 just to be safe.
