  1. Sorry, this is just too good to pass up an opportunity to post it again.
  2. Have you tried reloading the phone software? Do a full backup, reload the OS then restore the apps and data. Or just get a new phone.
  3. Why on Earth would anyone use IE?
  4. The APIM either has to be hacked or replaced with a nav APIM.
  5. Isn't 2.2 available now for user download and installation?
  6. Check charging is almost always the alternator. Might just be a bad belt though since it only seems to have a problem at idle.
  7. That would lead me back to the fan controller as the most likely culprit which you can replace yourself. Make sure to use OEM parts though not Dorman or the other aftermarket supplier whose name escapes me - lots of problems with those. The controller comes with the fans.
  8. I priced the OEM setup - hitch, bumper cover, etc. and it was pretty expensive for the MKX. I presume sport is similar requiring a new bumper cover or trim piece. You could save some money and just cut the existing one but the oem hitch itself was around $400 compared to $175 for the hidden hitch I installed. The hitch height is not an issue with the hidden hitch or other aftermarket hitches, especially for a bike rack.
  9. My favorite pilot story is from air traffic control in Berlin. A Lufthansa pilot asked Berlin tower for landing clearance in German. The tower told him he had to repeat the request in English. The pilot said "I'm a German pilot flying for a German airline trying to land at a German airport. Why on Earth should I have to use English?". An unidentified British pilot answered "Because you lost the bloody war!"
  10. Could also be the fan controller. That was a common failure on the early models although the failure mode was typically not turning on one or both fans. When you restarted it after letting it sit for a few hours, where was the temp gauge? If it immediately went to normal I'd say it's the temp sensor. If it started on cold then it may be the fan controller.
  11. Welcome aboard Captain! What types of planes have you flown?
  12. My understanding is only the bedsides are aluminum - the floor is steel. But that's nothing new for GM, that's their MO - make fun of the competition until they can copy it.
  13. It would be to me but that's something you'd have to decide for yourself.
  14. I rest my case. Get a Solar tester and don't believe what the dealership, tells you. Their equipment/methods are incorrect.
  15. If we had a nickel for every time somebody said can't be the battery and it turned out to be the battery, we'd have a lot of nickels. Just sayin'.....
  16. Have you tried leaving the battery disconnected for a couple of hours? Can't hurt.
  17. To the contrary - Monroes are usually cheaper and don't work as well.
  18. It is difficult to determine whether they need to be replaced just by looking at them. I would probably just replace them every 5-6 years to be safe.
  19. The procedure should be explained in the owner's manual. If you don't have one get the electronic version at owner.ford.com or www.motorcraftservice.com.
  20. Nope. We were looking at a 2016 Edge last year before we got the max and I waited for sync 3 to arrive which took a few months.
  21. Early model 2016 Edges did in fact come with MFT. Sync 3 showed up at job 2.
  22. Because chef Duane was making cacciatore?
