Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?
akirby replied to ben senise's topic in Accessories & Modifications
You forgot the simplest solution - don’t shut the door all the way. -
That delay is most likely the electronic throttle, not the turbo. There is no turbo lag to speak of.

I’m going to laugh when you guys that turned of the horn honk end up stranded because someone walked away with the key and you didn’t realize it. -
Brakes briefly turned to mashed potatoes
akirby replied to TheFloppyWeasel's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
It could be the brake booster but the noise would indicate the ABS was activated and I didn't think the booster would have anything to do with that. Especially if it returned to normal when the noise stopped. -

More common when turning but still possible. I wouldn't worry if the brakes are working ok now until it happens again. -

I don't remember what it feels like when the ABS engages. -

Sounds like the ABS engaged. Is it possible you hit a slick patch on the road? If not it may be a flaky wheel speed sensor. -
Not sync - sync services which nobody seemed to use anyway.

You won’t get a mileage increase.

Be careful with Rain-X if you have rain sensing wipers. Don't put it over the sensor behind the rear view mirror. -

They either have to play hard ball or permanently lower their prices or both. I think everybody caught on to the threaten to cancel to get the good rate trick. -

Check the CHMSL (center high mounted stop lamp). On my 2006 Fusion one tail/brake light stopped working when the chmsl went out.

That's not true. They generally allow copies for backup purposes but not to simply share with other people free of charge - that would defeat the purpose of selling the documentation in the first place. If they wanted to give it away for free they would make it a free download. I won't delete the topic but we can't support this activity going forward so please take it to PMs.

It's not. People think it's ok to make copies of digital stuff.

The RWD F150 transmission and drivetrain is much beefier than the FWD based Edge version.

Let me jump in here and say that most of us love answering questions and helping folks but at some point the volume of your posts become an issue and folks will either get snippy or just stop reading your posts altogether. My friendly suggestion is to stop over-analyzing things to death, do a bit more research on your own and lower the word count. You'll be much more likely to get good fast responses and less likely that folks get snippy or simply start ignoring your posts.

Do not believe the dealer about the battery. At least 80% of the bad ones test ok at the dealer for some reason - they must not be using the right testers. I'd go buy a new battery first - it probably needs it anyway. Also - on the warranty, isn't your 2011 vehicle older than 6 years?
