  1. The direct injection allows it to use the regular 87. Ford does also say that you will gain performance with 91 or better octane. Which makes sense, especially in a heavily boosted small displacement engine.
  2. ahahhaa... maybe Allen can find one to add, because that would be too fitting.
  3. Check eBay, Junk yards then, move onto the dealer as your last resort. I heard some noise about this being a part that is shared with other cars, you might want to check up on that.
  4. Sounds delicious. My last car before the Edge was a 5-Cyl turbo (2.3) and I do miss the way the torque piles on. Makes me want to pick up a 2013 EcoBoost Edge or MKX after this lease is up...
  5. Ironic, the idiots must have been let out recently. Same thing this morning, I had to SLAM on my brakes because the lady in the car in front of me wanted to stop before the light even turned yellow O_o. In CA, they've been adding a countdown timer to the "don't walk" because people (pedestrians) can't follow directions. Apparently there are some idiots that think it applies directly to the cars on the road too.
  6. I've seen those around on a video somewhere before. Great idea, but at that price, I would opt for some cheap 17s or 18s and not risk your bigger wheels to being scratched up. I'm definitely happy that I stuck to my guns and got the 18s, because I don't see myself shelling out that much for chains or spare rims.
  7. Damn you guys! These photos have me wanting to rip my lights open and throw these FX-Rs I have in there. (I'm on a 24MO lease, not sure if its a keeper yet)
  8. I've noticed that too. Stereo sounds better for normal music, but talk radio seems clearer on the DSP.
  9. Interestingly, my coworker with a 2010 F-150 had the same issue. He took it to the dealer and they had to pull the whole dash to replace it. They also had to order some pieces so it turned into a multi-day affair.
  10. If this is the case, (that the Edge centerbore is larger) you can just have a machine shop bore out the rims to match the hub. At least the Edge hub isn't smaller. In that case, you'd need some custom spacers/hub adapters
  11. That's not too comforting... Let us know what you end up finding/doing.
  12. Here's cool thing I found for Ford VINs: http://www.etis.ford.com/home.do
  13. Just take this little fact into consideration when trading to your dealer: Car dealers (generally speaking) make more margin on USED cars versus NEW cars.
  14. Sounds like the dealer should be handling this under warranty still.
  15. I would never use the stock wiring... Currently, I have the OE HIDs. And even if I were to do a retrofit, I would get a harness.
  16. Don't get me started with the elevator etiquette....please! And the signalling thing... what's worse than NOT signalling? Signalling AFTER you do something! You're supposed to signal your intentions, not what you just did .25 seconds ago.
  17. That's true that it's all in the eye of the beholder. I guess, I observe things at a less casual angle than most. Maybe I can save some money by using a weaker prescription on my contacts
  18. I've been told the same. The touchless is good if you want to strip all the protection off when starting new or applying something that requires absolutely 'clean' paint. I won't let anything or body use anything other than a microfiber towel to dry it by touch.
  19. At least you'd have that bit of argument on your side, that his light were not to spec.
  20. You're gonna have a tough time with offsets due to the FWD vs. RWD. Seems like the track would end up being wider. I'm interested to know what you find out though
  21. Why ketchup? Heinz spells it that way. And IMO, they are the leading Ketchup authority. I die when I see "Catsup". Or a restaurant that serves NON-Heinz in Heinz bottles. Now that irritates me!
  22. There's more people on the road with busted bulbs than tinted lights. I've seen cars roll around with ALL 3 brake lights out. O_o
  23. The difference is minor. But if you do go this route, get a new harness to power it off a relay and the battery. Don't want to fry your stock wiring accidentally.
