Android terms applied to MFT: Think of pulling the fuse as a reboot and the Master reset as a /data partition wipe. Obviously your choice to do so... let us know if you do though. Good luck in any case

Maybe the car doesn't like something about the bluetooth profile that it has stored. I hate to suggest it, but I think the dealer will do this first in your case also: Master Reset the MFT system. Damn hate suggesting it, but I have a feeling it will work. Otherwise, you can wait until the v2.8 is ready for your car. They'll probably reset it at that point anyhow.

I'm running Android. Actually CyanogenMod 7 RC1 (updating to RC4 tonight). I haven't had the problems that you speak of yet. You stated that you rebooted the MFT before, did you happen to reboot the android? Mind me asking what firmware you are on / device you own?

All you did was order? If you didn't sign papers saying you bought it, what is done is certainly reversible. Your order of a vehicle does not require you to purchase it. Unless things are different in Canada regarding that. I was under the impression that sending maps from Google Maps to the Sync system was over data lines and not voice lines, so you are the only one that was a bit mistaken. Having said that, I am confident that the developments in the SYNC functions should bring about the functionality I am seeking. If it doesn't come around, I will walk away at lease end. For you however, it seems like this has something to do with legal and regulatory issues. But I feel all is not lost for you. Do some more homework and determine if you really want the car right now, and if not, don't sign the papers. Good Luck

Nice mod. Did this on my 94 850 with parts from an 01 V70. BTW, anyone wanting to do this, you could find almost any car with Homelink - as long as the visor fits - and use those. I'm thinking there's another vehicle out there with black visors that has Homelink and similar measurements. It will take some time to find it, but I'm looking next time I hit the junkyard.

Have the dealer swap on some dubs from another car and test it out. Also test your 18s on the other car.

How is the cover mounted if not at all to a bumper? that's weird. Is there an easy way to check without pulling the cover?

I can recreate the situation. Did it at lunch just now. But I'm not sure I would classify it as a "bug", but more of a design flaw. There is absolutely no reason (from a consumer's standpoint) that the "audio" aka "radio" should turn on every time a voice command is issued. It is just ludicrous and inefficient. I will make sure to bring this up during my call to Ford.

I'm sorry that bashing occurred in other threads. But lets not muddle this thread with leftover emotions from other threads. I didn't say everyone nor imply it. I, rather, replied to shed light on the other possibility that those you put in the "perfectly satisfied" buckets may be in the "partially satisfied" bucket... "myself included"

True to an extent. You can't have 10 people working in one engine bay. But one could be working on the paint, while another on the exhaust, while another on the intake, another on the brakes, etc.... If you have only 1 guy doing it all... it will take forever. And more eyes on the problem = more likelihood of finding a proper solution. Like I previously said, only MS and Ford know. And more eyes doesn't just mean more in numbers. I'm sure if they reached out to the mobile phone UI developers, they could get a better GUI that was more efficient. But additionally, what's the next step after a release? You measure the impact and see if there are other issues that arise, and prepare for the next release. This REQUIRES that people include their feedback. I'm still baffled why those that don't have issues just say that they don't have issues, instead of trying to defend something and hush those that are seeing issues.

If you DO have the push button start, one push is ACC, and 1 more push is ON, one more for OFF. No brake of course as that will start the ignition.

You can get them primered. The dealer will "paint" them for you by sending them to their body shop and then charge you on top. Best to order yourself from PartsCheap.com and take it to a body shop. OR... just plastidip your old one. The plastidip should be removable on such a large surface area if you change your mind and its durable as hell. I put 3 coats on my volvo 850 grille 5 years ago and its still perfect.
