  1. Doesn't seem right to me. Normally, torque steer occurs for an instant as the short axle gains input quickly versus the long shaft. Additionally, traction control in our cars should help eliminate this by lightly braking that wheel. Constant pull to the right doesn't seem normal and doesn't occur in my Edge. Heck it doesn't occur in my FWD turbo Volvo that gets 80% of its torque at 1800rpm and 100% from 2000rpm onward. It generally tugs to the right and then a bit left and all straight after that.
  2. The 2008 turn signals are married to the brake light bulbs, so you definitely need another solution. The 2011 are only amber per the bulb tint, but it is separate. Having said that, the swap can work... it would take a bit of work in rewiring things at the pigtails. You would have to split the 3 wires going into the old pigtail into 4 wires for the new separate bulb configuration.
  3. Try a different phone and rule that out. If it happens to another phone, you can point that finger back at SYNC.
  4. So maybe this is isolated to the larger wheels? I haven't really noticed pulling with my 18's, but I will keep an eye out. Is it really noticeable? Any estimate on how many feet you could go before hitting the curb?
  5. You could cut the ground wire (or positive if you wish) at the outlet and wire a relay to give the outlet ground (or conversely positive if you cut the positive) when the ignition is on. This would shut off the outlet when the car is off.
  6. I'm just saying there's an opportunity for a company to supply an aftermarket solution to our factory induced problem.
  7. To be fair... the locks are probably only $250 of that $10k, its got A/C seats..... ... ok, kidding aside... I'd be interested in seeing the locks. Anyone with an MKX will to bust out the camera?
  8. I would give that guy the mile long stare for a good minute and then ask him if it's tobacco or crack smoke that he's blowing up my ass.
  9. Everyone with issues pulling to the right: Which rims and tires are you running?
  10. Looks like the same visual aid as mine. The center stack is different as you are driving the non Sony HD audio in the loaner.
  11. WELCOME! For you first post, you brought something to the community which I applaud! I'm going to try the front to back headrest swap and see how I like it.
  12. I love my car, but a couple issues need to be address by the dealer before I would say I'm north of 90% satisfied. Many of the body panels are not consistent as well as some of the interior pieces. Also, I get an MFT freeze/reboot every 10 days or so. (on v2.7)
  13. $19,000 is a steal alright.... But $34,900 for a 2011 with 19,000 miles is not so much. If you get him down to $32,000 I can see some benefit. So this is loaded? with DVD headrests?
  14. I'm very ginger with the console and I keep a microfiber in the door pocket. I give her a little wipe down occasionally at stoplights. Definitely looking into the CQuartz for it.
  15. Stockpile ... really? I bought 3 button cell batteries from the local 99 cents only store for a whopping..... 99cents. Took one and taped it to the back inside cover of my Manual in the glovebox. DONE BTW, I LOVE my Driver's Entry Package. Carrying a sleeping toddler and a laptop bag, it is SOOOO money!
  16. If changing a button battery is daunting to you.... then I guess I can see your point.
  17. VERY good point. And that leads to the question of kids. I want a place to keep things from my child while she is in the car. Looks like an aftermarket opportunity
  18. Fram often make filters that will fit your car and will interchange in their book, but will not meet manufacturer's build. Case in point, Volvo filters have a back flow valve intended to keep oil primed in the filter for start up. Fram does not include this in their version, which can lead to valvetrain wear due to lack of oil pressure during the first instant of startup.
  19. If a Cat is completely clogged... you'll get the "banana in my tailpipe" syndrome... and yes... that can cause a stall. But more likely, the car will not start in that case. Anything that can cause the flow of the exhaust gases to stop completely can stall a vehicle.
  20. I'm going with this one too... I've done it myself in a rush. And shamefully, I have used Fram before too... But never on the Edge and never will. Trust everyone else above on this one: FRAM sucks.
  21. FWIW, I've had white blinkers (front and back) in So Cal for 5+ years; been pulled over about 3 times without ANY mention of the front blinkers NOR the rear blinkers. And I only had the front tint mentioned once, no ticket.
  22. There's ones on eBay that you could cut to fit. Issue I see would be finding the width that would look right.
  23. what filter did you choose with the amsoil?
  24. I plan on putting a clear bra on that part to keep the scuffs down.
