Funniest thing I've heard you say! I just ran through a tank with some better MPG now that I've got 2,800 mi on her. Lifetime is sitting at 18.4MPG but my last tank (actually, half tank) got 20.4 MPG, all of which was city driving at speeds no greater than 55MPH with the average being 25MPH. My mileage is creeping up, but I'm afraid that's also a product of driving with more thoughtful right foot. That instant MPG bar on the left LCD has increased my MPG by just being there.

Why the need to change the PCV in your case? was the car smoking out of the exhaust?

Iphone 3 Bluetooth Internet Tethering Tutorial
cal3thousand replied to olftboy's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Eventually, when the browser and SYNC apps are available, this will be more useful. As of now, its good to know that this works (at least on iOS) . I was under the impression it still needed Sync development. -
2011 Edge Limited AWD Boom/Rumble
cal3thousand replied to PJFW8's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
<br><br>Does this sound occur with the car parked and running?<br><br>I would LOVE to hear some audio or a video if possible. <div><br></div><div>EDIT: I just re-read the original post and thought of something. When parking my car, I can sometimes hear the gas slosh around in the tank quite a bit. And it does sound like a rumble sometimes depending on how smooth I am with the car. Any abruptness and I can almost feel the momentum of the gas. Maybe something is in contact with the tank, sending the sound to the chassis.</div> -
What's the BT profile that controls this?

Ambient Lighting Color Poll
cal3thousand replied to Edgieguy's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Same here lately: Red for the daughter Purple for the wife Whatever color I feel like for me when the mood strikes (blues look cool on my shoes ) -
Keep the key in your glovebox. On a side note, an interesting idea has started up. Magnetic child locks for the glovebox and center console that open when a (strong enough) magnet is applied. This could work for the gas door too! I plan on ordering a Full set of 4 and trying to retrofit those into the glovebox and center console. If it doesn't work, I have a nosy toddler and a bunch of cabinets.

Sport tails on Limited?
cal3thousand replied to BAD03COBRA's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
If you compare our market offerings with Imports (especially JDM) you will be often disappointed. LED bulbs would be the easiest way to go. -
To be fair, a normal funnel will work. I had to fill my gas tank to use up this spare fuel I had lying around. Although the tank's spout was too short, a normal funnel did the job. I was originally considering a locking insert too, but someone would have to be carrying around a funnel to put something in your tank. I don't think I have to worry about that.

Is Anyone Satisfied With Their Edge?
cal3thousand replied to The6thTemp's topic in Owner Impressions
The fenders don't meet the A pillars with the same gap and flushness, The Driver's door does not line up properly where it meets the rear door, Hood is no where near flush in several points. And the center console is not perfectly aligned (There's a huge gap on one side versus the other). I called my original dealer and the service department made it sound as if it would be easy to get my car in there and tweak it. I'll get the "first free oil change" and have them update Sync at the same time. -

Look for a thread call "Finally, my satin edge..." or something like that. -
I don't see why not. What's the bolt pattern and offset? Ford's bolt pattern for CUV and sedans/coupes is pretty standard at 5x4.5in AKA 5x114.3mm ... Make sure that the offset is for FWD vehicles and you're good. So Fusion wheels would work, MKX, MKZ.... Check this site for more help about Ford stock sizing: http://www.bolt-patterns.com/Ford-Bolt-Patterns.php

Glove Box/Center console lock?
cal3thousand replied to Livestrong16's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Was thinking the same thing... Something like this: http://www.kidsafeinc.com/product/71173/Cabinet-Locks-Magnetic-Tot-Lok-Starter-Set.html -
Exactly! The transmission will shift into 6th if you get off the gas with some speed. Bugs the crap out of me, so I throw it in Manual sometimes too.

Thanks Hanks! I updated the thread with some license plate bulbs that I had. I will also update this thread later this week with some LED strip lights that I have. I'm still debating on where to put them... maybe I'll snap a couple options while I play around this next weekend. For next week: 6,000 K Puddle lights, 6,000 K license plate lights, & moving the 5,000 K flank lights from the license plate to the interior maps spots.

2011 Edge/MKX My Touch and Sync Problems
cal3thousand replied to akirby's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
The "touch delay" you are noticing is mostly due to the resistive screen technology that is used versus capacitive touch screens on the other devices you named. I too have noticed that during start up, you don't want to give the system too many inputs, whether touch or voice. To be honest, I don't use Sync in the first 1 minute in order to avoid frustration. Hopefully, they find a way to optimize the startup. -

Possible to reposisiton rear camera?
cal3thousand replied to rhpt's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Putting the car in reverse would bring up the camera screen on your Nav unit screen. Alternatively, you can look for a camera above the rear license plate.
