  1. That's funny. When I cuss at it, it just cancels my request. Maybe it actually understands me and is rebelling :punched:
  2. A good sunshade will save you at least 5 of those 15 minutes of cool down with black interior. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/7780-intro-tech-ultimate-sunshade-review/page__p__61808__hl__intro-tech__fromsearch__1&do=findComment&comment=61808
  3. Bumper has been known to deform slightly in extreme heat. There's a thread here somewhere about it. I'm just throwing out what I've heard due to heat. Maybe that's causing some related issue?
  4. That's assuming that nobody reset the oil life indicator at some point without changing the oil.
  5. Are you running the stock ROM? I'm on CM7 and my phone doesn't do that. As soon as I disconnect the phone, the music pauses. It's definitely under the control of the phone. When I disconnect from any BT device while playing music through it for that matter.
  6. I would think that below that speed, the airflow is not great enough to cause the sound (at least not to audible levels). Or at that speed, a harmonic resonance occurs where the sound is amplified. (just theories)
  7. Nice share! The only thing I've had in my hitch was a bike rack that included a threaded pin and hitch combo that kept everything tight, so I've never noticed wobble. I feel like I will end up purchasing one of these eventually.
  8. I've seen a member here put his stock tires back on new rims. Personally, I don't see the benefit. If you are going to drop some coin for a nice wheel, you should get a nice tire too. All too often tires are overlooked, but they are a large factor, if not the most important factor, in the noise, ride, and performance of your vehicle. Plus the unmounting and remounting of tires is a waste of effort (whether someone else's or not) How much treadlife is left on the current tires?
  9. It sounds like leaves or something in your intake tract to me. Have you taken a look at the hose leading into and from your air filter? Maybe something like a leaf got stuck in the opening of the intake and is making some turbulence when the throttle gets opened.
  10. If you have the sub, its located on the passenger side of the cargo area.
  11. Generally yes. But the refrigerant will lose some of its mojo eventually, even without leaking.
  12. With that attitude you will easily enjoy all the pluses of this car without letting the little things get in the way. It's a great vehicle.
  13. Good tip... no one has mentioned that in my previous reading. I see that Aquapel is still available on Amazon but someone said that Trico bought them and named it Trico View (which I see on Amazon too) Anyways, I see a 12pk for 32.95 + 8.95 shipping. Is that good price?
  14. I just updated to version 2.8 which is currently shipping in Edges and MKXs right now. I have to admit, the touch sensitivity is MUCH better. I don't have to hold my finger there for a period of time like I did with v2.7 Of course it will never be like an iPad since that screen is capacitive and the one in our vehicles is resistive. So don't expect capacitive smoothness and you should be happy. Also note that the Navigation maps are pretty weak if you are used to Google Maps.
  15. Don't work for Ford, I'm just very interested in lighting systems in cars. Maybe I wasn't clear enough though. There's only one bulb that does the job of low and high beam (on each side) and it is lit whenever the headlights are turned "on". The shield, blocks the light from shining above the "cut-off" line, effectively creating a low beam "pattern". When you pull the stalk to command the high beams, a shield inside the projector moves out of the way to allow the FULL high beam "pattern" to shine. You'll notice that "high beam" is not any brighter than "low beam", it just casts light in a larger "spray"
  16. Well, there's NO WAY a Caravan is going to do to an Edge what it did to your Altima. Congrats!
  17. Are you planning on running the car at WOT much? Unless you are, you won't see much difference. And a free-er flowing filter will let more particulates pass.
  18. Good luck with the dealer. Let us know how it goes.
  19. Congrats and Welcome! Nice color choice!
  20. The sensor on the warning system could be covered in dirt or something or it may need a fixing. As for the brake lights, if the car applies the brakes, whether from pedal or computer, the brake lights will glow. This is a DOT requirement.
  21. If the system is just not cold, but blows plenty of air, check the refrigerant pressure. The car is 3 years old and might need a small recharge. If the pressure is not low, you might have another problem such as the thermostat or a dirty valve.
  22. Well if it's made by PPG, it's gotta be some good stuff. Thanks for the tip... I'm looking into it now.
