  1. There is not just the hazard of it. In some states (like here in the People's Republic of Maryland) it is illegal to leave you car running without a driver in it.
  2. Why do rear pads need to be replaced before front? Don't the front ones do most of the work?
  3. Not everyone. Your car is 5 (6 if 2014s are out now) model years behind, Yes things break at that point. Mileage on that part doesn't matter. Plus recalls are for safety issues. I don't think this is a safety issue.
  4. How long does it blow the warm air? If the refrigerant is low, the coils can freeze up, especially in a humid environment, and stay that way until they thaw. It will cycle through this (warm, cooling off, warm again) until you stop long enough for them to completely thaw.
  5. I'll post some pictures later, but it looks just like it does on the site. I also installed LEDs for the puddle lights and the interior lights in my father's Flex (from the same website). Worked great. He is losing some of his vision and that made it easier to see to get in and out and he can see down into the cup holders now. They put out a tremendous amount of light.
  6. When the pump turns off depends not just on the vehicle, but also on the sensitivity of the pump itself. Some are more sensitive then others.
  7. Got this driving across Indiana and Ohio on I-70.

Mileage traveling on I-70 across Indiana and Ohio.
  10. I agree. There is that fine print on the ads for a reason.
  11. Only problem was in the first week. The shaft in the AC compressor broke. Two days later I was back on the road with. Ok, there was one other problem. In July I drove from Maryland to Mississippi and somewhere along the way something took a gouge out of the sidewall of on the the tires. I think it happened along 81 in Virginia because there were an unusual number of cars with flats on the side of the road for a long stretch. I replaced all 4 while I was in Mississippi. Can't blame that on Ford though. I haven't really had problems with MFT. It's had its quirks (reboots, weird routing, etc), but mostly it has been fine.
  12. I'm very happy with mine. I have a 2013 with over 40,000 miles. Mileage has been as high as the 30 EPA estimate. Plenty of power when I need it.
  13. I did the LED mod from http://www.daytimebrightlites.com/ I will be installing my LED DRLs from this this weekend.
  14. I understand about driving out west. A lot of my trip was at 70, I just kept it right there.
  15. I just drove from my house in Maryland up into the mountains in Pennslvanyia (and back) and got 27.9 MPG. I had the cruise control locked at 68 and except for going through construction zones and where I had to change interstates. I did have the A/C on. I have noticed that the mileage really goes down after about 70 so 75 may be hurting your mileage. 3 weeks after I go the edge I drove from Maryland to the Mississippi Gulf coast (1090 miles) and got 26 mpg. It would ahve been higher except for the hour each way stuck in stop and go traffic. I set the cruise control within 1 or 2 mph of the speed limit. Also, did you have your windows open? That really increases the drag on the car and can cut mileage.
