Got my tails in.. Installed... For now I simpply hooked them up the same way as the old tails I used the brake/turn together.. Not using the separate turn signal in the new tails. I will work that out this weekend. Just couldn't wait to get them in a hooked up for now. I do have a small problem with turn signals. R side will blink fast and the L side does 2 quick blinks then a slow one then 2 quick then 1 slow... not sure about this but will work the bugs out and post it up...

After looking at the wiring I found the reverese signal wires also feed into the rearview mirror to cut off the dimming on the mirror... I popped off the pillar trim on the drivers side, theres a green plug below the air bag, on the left side of the plug you will see the grn/brn wire going to the mirror. I used a t-tap and hooked my wire up right there. I know the wire is suppose to be somewhere lower on the floorboard but seeing that ford didn't give much room to work in that area, let alone get the fuse cover off (the cable to the hood pop gets right in the way trying to get the cover out the way), this was my best option, plus they gave me like 20' of wire with the radio so might as well use what I can... Here's how I'm thinkin to do the wiring. Tap into the singal for the front turns to power the rear turns.. Then tap into the 3rd brake light for brakes.. Seems pretty straight forward and easy, no relays, etc. needed... We will find out soon... Any input?

Not yet, I'll sit down this week and look at the diagram and see if I can figure it out. I plan to install the 2011 tails in my 08 so I can do everything at one shot.

Don't think he wants he one to know how he did it..... I'm planning to attempt this in a week or 2 when mine come in so I'll be sure to let everyone in on the details...

Hasn't made it in yet, coming from hong long should see it this week sometime I hope... This sytem is a NTSC and resolution is 580X540 I'm using it on a aftermarkey kenwood navigation so hope it'll look good... Time will tell

So after adding a kenwood navigation to the wifes 08 Edge (Garmin is so much better than TomTom, always seems like he wanted me to go through the ghetto) I want to add a rear camera to it now, I would like the one that comes on the 2011's that is mounted above the license plate but I ran across this today on eBay.. It's suppose to replace the right license plate light and add the camera... Opinions please?

Just wanted to see what all was needed to install a aftermarket navigation in place of the factory 6 disc radio. So far I have ordered: Kenwood DNX6160 ($175 good deal!) Dash kit Wiring harness PAC-SWI-JACK (wish I would of seen the reviews on this one first, hope I like it) Antenna adapter Is there anything else I'm missing I will need? The wire harness I bought only comes with the main plug, what is the second smaller plug on the radio for, not sure if mine has it or not, just happened to see it on ebay.. Is it needed? I'll post some pics up of the install and everything for everyones future reference, won't be until later this week, since this is 1 of the wife's christmas presents...

Looking for a passenger rear door for my 2008 edge if anyone has happened to see a edge in a junk yard... Black would be a++! Wife managed to scrape our fence, not once, not twice but 3 times trying to get the car out and killed the door... Thanks in advance. Just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced any problems with the Fram Tough Guard TG3600. This was my first oil change with the 08 Edge and changed everything started the car just to hear some noise and see oil going everywhere from the filter. Filter looks fine but I think it blew out the seal, even though it looks fine. I know everything was done right (this isn't my first rodeo) just woundering if there is a problem with the fram 3600 for the edge the top of the filter looks alot different then the motorcraft filter (that I now have and $48 for one oil change later) or did I just have some sh**ty luck?

Very true, becuase even though we had a carfax and no signs of accidents,etc. I did notice the day after we go it that both bumpers were a shade lighter/darker, I know they were repainted because you can see some paint lines... Not sure if this was part of the "dealer prep" or whatever to sell or what.....

not that I know of.... we bought it about 2 months ago and to be honest I never noticed it... until this 3rd wash I believe don't think my wife parks it under any trees or crap at work so I'm not sure and thats the main thing it gets used for to work and home.... but I guess if insurance will repair for hail it'll take care of it....

Anyone here have any issues with paint? I just noticed today while wasing about 4-5 different places that are cracking/bubbling mainly on the roof.. Will Ford cover this? Warranty was expired when we bought it... Doubt extended warranty covers that either..... We just had a nice hail storm the other day too so I'm debating if I can get Ford to take care of it for free or if they won't then get the insurance to repaint the whole thing becaue I have paint chips on the hood from the hail on both fenders, 1 a pillar, 3 doors, roof, and chips in glass.

Could always get one of those mothers power ball things to clean them real good.. Think they have one for rims and another for buffing (which would prolly work better). I agree though they seem like a pain to clean.... Haven't cleaned them yet. I just had to buy one because it was missing when I bought the car..... Around $45 I think....
