I've been thinking about this too. Looks good! That would look friggin SICK on my car. You can see my calipers very well between the 5 spokes on my new black wheels.

What he said. The painted mufflers are interesting. My Edge is all kindsa black. I just, finally, got my black wheels installed. Looks Awesome!(Pics after wash on Saturday :shades: ) I'm slowly but surely blacking it out so this may be something I'll do. Hmmmmm.....

Got the new wheels and tires installed... finally. These original style 18" Chrome clad wheels with tires and TPMS went into storage yesterday. They have right at 2650 miles on them. Excellent condition. Actually Polished em and shined the tires 2 days before removal. I had the tire guys mark on them which corner they came off of, FYI. $500 Reasonable offers considered.

You guys can call yours what you like but my Edge is NOT a truck! ... although those velour captain's chairs sound like an idea. hehe Just got my 20" wheels and 275/45s installed yesterday afternoon. H&R springs mit der lowering effect Saturday before last. It doesn't haul mulch and has no bed, so no truck here. I'm cool with CUV but not with SUV (I dunno why, I'm a weird egg sometimes) It's low and agile and has 4 doors. Well, 5 really. It's my car... but sometimes I call it a truck...

I just got my black wheels installed today. Finally! Looks GREAT!! Managed to get the tires all shiny before dark but will have to wait till Saturday probably to get a fresh wash and get some nice "after" pics :shades:

Newspaper reporter is the one I get the most for Scoop I've heard every variation by now when people get it wrong. Spock is my favorite.

Any particular chrome wheels? Are you looking for a factory set to replace 17 inchers? If so I will have an intact (meaning Tire Pressure Monitoring System and tires) set for sale by the weekend. I bought new wheels and tires then ended up with two of the new ones damaged in shipping. The replacements should be here today or tomorrow, then I'll have them installed, hopefully no later than Saturday. I tend to get a little wordy (when I get excited :rolleyes: ) but I have posted a thread for my wheels down in the Classifieds section of the forum. If you're looking for aftermarket wheels go HERE and enter in all your car info. You can sort by size, finish, manufacturer, etc. Tirerack has all sorts of good stuff. Be aware of the TPMS I mentioned above if you're looking to go aftermarket. There are these little sensors on some straps inside the tires, around the wheels, that talk to your Edge's computer and tell it if you have a low tire. Plenty of info on that here if/when you want it. Good Hands beat me to the punch. hehe. As he says, there are a bunch of us "pimpin out" or Edges. We're happy to guide where guidance is needed.

Black here - with a nice cool Camel interior. Tinted windows, putting black wheels with machined lip on it, put my personalized plate in a slightly tinted cover with a slim black frame, keep searching for tinted tail lights. I agree completely about the BAMR on black - disappears completely when it's closed. Also agree about the panels at the bottom blending in nicely. Love em blacked out! :shades:

Mine finally arrived!

Yep! I could hardly believe it when I tried the peanut butter. Worked like a charm! Someone said it was something to do with the oil in the PB. The first spot I tried it on... I was figuring it would take some work, but instead it took about 2 minutes or less. When I realized I had swipe marks all around the entire car I spent about 20 minutes going over the whole ride. All gone! I was doubtful until I did it myself. Now I will swear by the method. It works!

Here's one I've seen but had to go Googling for. Very nice black Edge with 22" wheels. The top pics are a lot like what I'm going for... although I think my wheels will be nicer (as in "go with the car" - lines, etc) even though they're "only" 20" compared to these 22s Man I wish I could black out my front windows... but I don't think my heart could stand the pressure of being illegal.

That one has a body kit on it. I like it. I'll probably will end up with one of those myself eventually. I started a thread for people to post up pictures of different custom or modded Edges HERE This one needs to be added. There are for sure a couple more I've seen as well as several belonging to members here. Great stuff. Great "car"... "truck"... whatever. I liked where I read somewhere that the Edge won an award for best "Urban Street Truck". I like that :D

I've been watching this thread. Dude, this sounds like my usual luck. Get out! Get out now!! Demand a new Edge and let Ford deal with that one on their own dime. They do have a pretty good stack of them. This is freakin ridiculous, man. Totally, without question, unacceptable! Period.

I've been absolutely loving my Edge since I got it. Black/Clearcoat with Camel interior. I love the way the BAMR disappears on the black ones. It's a pain to keep clean but is sooo nice looking. So far I have tinted the front windows as dark as I legally could - 35% + the minor tint from the factory glass. Law is 32% here in GA. I've had the H&R springs installed for a very nice lowering effect and an big change for the better in handling. Got my "Prestige" plate today! Finally! It says SCOOP, which is my life long nickname. I bolted to Auto Zone and scored a black frame thingy with a nice semi-bulbous, tinted window/cover. Got some specialized screws and black screw covers. Looks GREAT! I'll take a pic or two tomorrow. I'm waiting for an estimated Tuesday delivery of two replacement wheels for the two that got flat spotted somehow in shipping. Once installed I will have the 20' Wheels pictured below - black! - with 275/45R20 tires. Can't wait! Here's a rim picture: So, to the point of this thread. I have found several and finally started saving the pics from different places to try to put together a nice compilation. Without further ado, I'd like to start a thread here for people to show us what they've all found on the Innerweb Let's start with a couple of pics of one we've all surely seen. 2007 H&R Ford Edge of the World from the SEMA Auto Show. There are tons of pictures of this bad boy. If you haven't seen it before just Google "H&R Ford Edge" This is an example of a 3DCarbon Edge. Pretty damn sweet if ya ask me. This is a version of the H&R Springs Edge. If I'm not mistaken it is earlier than the first two pics of the H&R edge. At a glance the wheels and front valence/lip/whatever are different. Still nice. I like the black wheels! And this one! I just stumbled across this pic in the blueovalforums. Direct link HERE Credit to Blueblood for the pic. I like, and have seen nothing of this one anywhere else. I love it! I'm Irish and dig green. Check that sweet probably powder-coated grill. AWESOME! Here's the semi-infamous Watertown Ford Edge. Nice but kinda expensive... I've definitely seen some other great looking edges, many of them belonging to members here. I'll dig up a few more and post them. I've definitely seen that. I don't think it's the Watertown Ford one though. Pretty nice w/ custom paint.

I vaguely recalled seeing something round down at the far bottom of the center console in addition to a plastic bag. Round things turned out to be the cup holder inserts and the bag had all the door pull inserts and some. Cool!

I saw that on line yesterday. $3500 is way too much, imo.
