in my 2011 Edge (built 11/10) when sitting in the seat and you slowly(SLOWLY) lean forward, extending the belt out of the retractor, it locks then you have to unbuckle let it go all the way back in to the retractor to use again anyone else have this issue? any solution? replace retractor assembly? is this: Automatic Locking Retractor (ALR) Mode? how to disable?!?

while we can get that seal, i believe the problem is the one around the fixed glass (back) the glass has to come off to install it (major thing) the ones that run along the trim, front to back, the trim has to be removed, its glued! and when you pry to remove... they usually get damaged, and you have to replace... the right and left one are about $350each need #3, but i bet we have to replace #5 and has to be glued back in place

2014 Edge Sunroof Weatherstripping replacement
mitchjs replied to John Pope's topic in Exterior & Body
on my 2011, i got bad feeling the 3 trim pieces are GLUED in place... to replace those seals, i also think the rear fixed glass has to be removed... and that prob ends the possibility of replace with removing the 3 trim pieces, could replace some of the rubber, but not all -
Backup Camera - Enhanced Parking Aid - 2011 edge
mitchjs replied to mitchjs's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
wow, thank you... i did inspect connectors.... they all clean... and the camera does react to steering wheel change (the lines curve) the "ebay" special, looks close, but not identical... and didnt have the ford label on it (course it showed that in the auction) i already claimed it as not genuine ford product, and the seller already refunded me $40 of the $100 i spent.... the original camera... lost all its extra graphics (lines + overlay), and the lens has cracks in it (its an old car) so image was not good, blurry, dim. at least the new camera is clear and bright. running PAM and Body self tests, NO CODES THROWN ALL OK suspect to me is the camera itself question, what you posted came from a digital version of the Workshop Manual, i see bunch on ebay... what is legit? the DVD? id like the one on USB.... but not sure if its legit -

Backup Camera - Enhanced Parking Aid - 2011 edge
mitchjs replied to mitchjs's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
haha, .. turning on/off and disconnecting battery, everyone tries that.... this is an issue i see all the time posted, and never a solution sometimes people solve then dont post the solution it could be as simple as the camera while looks exact isnt -
so more on backup cameras... I replaced my backup camera in 2011 edge limited, since it lost its guidelines and was very blurry... got an Ebay special, the new camera is clear, i got my guidelines, i have the center line, and the dynamic moving lines based on wheel position. but, don't have the enhanced parking aid block (overlays) and the zoom button doesn't seem to work (course i never zoomed before, but the button is there) no DTC present, the Rear Camera Calibration runs with no errors in Forscan (no license, but seems to let us run that) did i get a fake camera? they say OEM, which is vaugue anyway.. or is there more to this? then just swap i mean sure the new camera view is way better than the one from 2015(i think ford replaced it at one point). thanks mitch

why now... years later.. who knows... but i got a 2011 edge that i purchased new in 2011, it is loaded... it came with the remote start.. got the IA keys of course what i want to try to do is, extend the range and or add the cellular option... the range now might not even be 100ft i popped off the inside edge of the LH read quarter panel cover, and saw the there is an "antenna" as i can see the coax plugged into the TPMS module so when it comes from the factory with remote start... what are my options is there another antenna for longer range? also when i looked... i didnt actually see the antenna, only the coax wire leaving the TPMS module... i thought the antenna would be attached to the metal (to me not actually ideal) but it goes somewhere... thanks mitch

I damaged my 2011 edge 20" chrome clad wheel need help
mitchjs replied to kenjan1970's topic in Wheels & Tires
if you damaged the front (outside) of a 2011 wheel, even if u didnt touch the plastic part... it cannot be fixed!! when they heat the metal to straigten, it would ment the plastic crome... course u could have a straight wheel, if u dont care what it looks like i know, i killed 2 of them when a creek bridge collapsed in, and made a massive sink hole... bent two wheels... lucky for me tires ok, since they cost $800each...i filed insurance claim m -

2011 edge limited.. where did you end up putting amplifiers? im looking to upgrade front speakers and sub.... -
this was one of the known issues with this car, it shows up in many reviews, labled because of "WIDE" console just like the vehicles large blind sports... due to large A piller zone and also rear direct view is obstruted due to rear seat headrests and a very tiny back window otherwise i love my edge

ok, great, i backed into something an scuffed mine (backed up in to something), and since the car is sooo new < 1month old it bothers me... the ford dealer said im nuts! cause i guess it gets scuffed alot

so.... did you actually have to remove the top bumper cover? or can you get to those two rivets from lower?
