  1. I have had my 2011 Edge since 11/1/10 I think the Sync system worked for maybe 12 days. Here I am after these months and unbelievable amount of trips to the dealer(13), conducting 17 software upgrades (latest 2.8v.), still with a broken Sync and the consolation of the dealer staff telling me that I'm not the only one with the problem and I have to be patient until a solution is found. Meanwhile I keep on receiving a bill from Ford Credit for $450 every month on a lease. Great Job Ford for allowing Microsoft to ruin the reputation you worked so hard to achieve. (Sorry, Just Venting)

Just a quick update from the original topic http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/6162-my-sync-touch-is-broken-it-has-a-black-screen/page__p__48762__fromsearch__1 Day 4 and 5 were the weekend, day 6 is Monday, the sync site was finally up, :hyper: but the dealer site kept on going in and out. Thats what I was told. Day 7, the service tech has a note(accordingly to the service manager) it states that he needs to talk to Ford product support ( I have no clue on this one)
  4. I agree Brian, I'm somewhat guilty also, I apologize, Its frustration of not being able to enjoy a state of the art vehicle.

  7. Day 4, Called the dealer,the Sync support site is still down, nothing the dealer can do at this point. I find it a little funny though, other dealers are able to download and upgrade Sync system. I guess the 11 Edge gets a different type. Rental car is due today. No confirmation if Ford is going to pickup the tab. I'll keep updating (just to vent I guess )

  9. Day 3, called the dealer for an update, wouldnt you know it, The system at Sync product support is still down I didnt think that Ford would let a system like this stay down for 3 days. They assured me that they should be back on tomorrow. We'll see tomorrow, hopefully better news.
  10. Ok, just to update, I took the edge in, it has been there 2 days now. I called to get an update on the progress and they told me that they have to consult with Ford product support. I asked for an estimated time of completion, they told me they have no idea yet. Let see what happens next.

  12. I agree, Its sad having these problems after spending that kind of dough for a vehicle, I was thinking that the more we spend less are the problems.
  13. I tried both technique's without a good results. I guess its dealer time Monday morning.
  14. So last night I got into the vehicle to get some groceries. I turn the car on and put in reverse and noticed that the rear camera did not go on, the screen was totally black. I put it back in park and shut off the car, waited a few minutes, like 2, turned it back on, and no screen. I had to go because of lack of time so manually turned the heat on and went. Wen I got back I came strait to this forum trying to get info, it seems as no one has had this problem yet. I removed the fuse for Sync and reinstalled has another member did and still no screen. Anyone has any ideas to the problem? I hate bringing it to the dealer, its usually a 3 to 4 day without a vehicle and results are (from my experiences) poor to no solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
