Yes, 110 in one of these. The OEM tires have a speed rating of 118mph. Wouldn't be prudent of the manufacturer to put on a tire with a speed rating less than what the vehicle is capable of. Can you say 'potential lawsuit'? If you 'hate those gawdy fake chrome' wheels, how do you feel about the grill? It's the same material.

Airplane

Sightseeing would have been nice, but there's not much to see at 10:30 at night. It will be day light on my way back Friday, but I doubt I'll slow down much then either. Gotta get home to the girls!

No, but I think that is available in GA, but I don't play the lottery so I'm not sure. It was a fun ride though. Around the mountains, up the mountains, and down the mountain. I'm glad I don't have to share my Edge with anyone else!

I drove 3 hours last night to TN and reset everything after I filled up just before getting on the interstate. According to the info center: avg mpg: 21.5 avg mph: 77 I'm heavy footed and had the cruise set for 80 - 85 most of the way. This vehicle is too fun to be babied.

It's funny you should mention that...just kidding. I did have a friend of mine (ex-cop) who said "if you know you're caught going over 100, just keep going. It's more fun for you and it's more fun for me and you're going to jail anyway..."

Mine had a bit of hiccup once (actually twice, but I specificallly remember the second one). I was rolling forward barely on the gas as we were about to turn onto the entrance ramp to the interstate and as stepped into it a bit harder, it was like it got confused and didn't kow what to do. RPMs dropped even though I was giving it gas, then finally determined 'oh he wants to go' and fond the gear needed and took off. I'm not sure how many miles I had on it at the time, but it was within the first 2,500 I think. Hasn't done it since.

Same here as ClubwagonXLT, except I turn it all the way down and wish it was a little dimmer.

I can vouch for the 111 mph factory limiter cutoff (without going on the autobahn). Someone on this forum did add a program and was able to get more out of it. I remember him getting alot of flack for street racing or something, I think. It did handle well, but I didn't stay there for long. Depending on the circumstances, the interstate launching pad (entrance ramp) is where you can routinely hit nearly 100 before even merging into the right lane.

Same here. Mine was not installed, just sitting inside, but I looked at the directions for installation (just curious) and it required the drilling of 2 holes into the bumper, so, you may have a couple holes once you remove yours, but then the '08 could be mounted differently. BTW, nice ride

I've noticed that when my Edge is cold (first thing in the morning or when leaving work in the afternoon) the first couple times I apply the brakes, as it comes almost to a stop and apply a bit more pressure to the brakes, there is a grinding sound coming from the front brakes, almost like its a sheared brake pad, but later down the road after it warms up, nothing; smooth stops and no grinding noise. Anybody else experienced this? I haven't tried painting the calipers yet...

I like this idea as well. Why are the factory mufflers so stinkin' big anyway???
