If your's is like the MKX I saw a couple weeks ago, it covers the outer edge of the actual rim (I checked your gallery and it is); covers the entire wheel. The Edge, on the other hand, the cover fits inside the outer lip of the rim.

Question: for those of you who think these chrome clad wheels look cheap as a chrome plastic cover; what do you think about your grill? It's the SAME material and finish... 07_MKX, the next time you clean the back of your wheels, would you mind posting a pic of the backside? Also, I could be wrong (wouldn't be the first time), but I think the MKX 18" chromes (18 Inch 8-Spoke Chrome Clad Aluminum Wheel w/Euroflange) are a metal chrome cover, not plastic.

I haven't looked closely yet, but can it be removed?

I asked while I had it at the dealer Monday. The service tech said it was a muffler for the intake air flow to reduce the noise created by that air flow. Can anybody here confirm or deny that?

And here I always thought it was 'C'...oh well, learn something new every day...

Check this paint job out. This was at the dealer I went to today to have some issues addresse on my Edge and needless to say it definitely caught my eye. The camera phone shot probably doesn't do it justice, but then again, what would...

UPDATE: took it to the dealer about this today (and the rear sunroof rattle - plastic trim loose). Said they have to order parts for both repairs. The back spoiler will be painted after it arrives at the dealership.

Went to the dealer today and ask about this issue. He stated it is common and should eventually go away. He said that during the cool down after it's parked for a while, a film develops and that what it sounds like as it 'cleans' it off creating that grabbing, scraping sound.

Regardless which route you go, when it's all said and done, pry that damaged cover off the wheel and take a picture and post it here, please...inquiring minds want to know...some think it is the same wheel as the 18" painted aluminum, but I have my doubts. Good luck regardless...

How 'bout some mullions for the BAMR? You did get the BAMR right? This one is frosted too. Nice touch with the white interior. Otherwise, I guess its woodkits and floor mats. I guess you could change the chrome accents to gold or brass. Maybe instead of floor mats, marble tile?

Does the USB power the external hard drive? I have an external hard drive for my home PC that is connected via USB, but it also has to be plugged into the wall...(5:40pm-okay, so there is such a thing, should have googled first and responded second; sorry for my PC ignorance) Maybe stating the obvious here, but I did have a co-worker once who moved his desk around, set his PC back up and it wouldn't power up. He asked me to take a look, and he had the outlet strip plugged into itself, not the wall...he had to hear about that one until he left...

I had a 97 Explorer 4.0 that I put a K&N filter on. I could definitely hear and feel a difference. A guy drove it one time and asked if it had the V8 in it. The only issue I had that seemed to be related to this filter was the IAC Valve (I think that's what it was called-Idle Air Control Valve?). Over the course of 80,000+ miles with the K&N I had to replace it twice. The first time a friend of my dad's that worked at a Ford dealer helped me replace it and get the check engine light off. The second time, I had to go direct to a dealer for the fix. When I told them it was the second time I've had to replace it the service tech said it was becuase of the K&N filter. One day I'll have one (or an equivalent) on my Edge.

You select whether you want to see the station ID, the song title, OR the Artist; but none at the same time. I was a little disappointed in that 'lack of' feature as well.

See if this works. Sorry Good Hands, all I saw was the box with the red x in the post...but now they magically appear...??? The hood on the MKX is nice, and the stripes on the Edge work
