yep thats correct the "knock" your hearing is the cut-off shield moving or as tarponbeach said the solenoid

ill take some tomorrow. But i mounted them on the side of the headlight with 3M double sided tape (they are the slim ballast)

I dont have the retrosolutions kit.. but i installed the DDM kit (with the wiring harness) and i modified the bulb by shaving off the tab on the right. The bulb fits in the housing theres little no play. here are some pics

hello all I just bought my Ford Edge Sport last Wednesday and i installed a 9006 kit with a relay harness and so far everything has been workng fine.. i post pics shortly
