  1. Has anyone else had problems with the driver's floor mat? The molding over the corner of the seat leg cover doesn't fit properly. It's not deep enough. This is the seat leg closest to the door. The other seat leg mold is much better.
  2. I know. There's not much room for heat to escape. Fortunately the pioneer and the amp have thermal circuits which will shut off the units if they get too hot. There really isn't room in the edge to install the amp under the seats, even this small amp.
  3. I also just completed my nav install. I installed the D3, XM, bluetooth, sub amp & iPod adapter. I'd also like to mention a 2nd place to get the illumination wire. It's in the same bundle of cables as the reverse wire, same color (purple/white stripe). This one's much easier to work with.
  4. Well I have a small sub amp, and was able to mount it under the radio, behind the AC controls. I was also able to install an XM and bluetooth module back there as well.
  5. First off, Great Write-up! We picked up a new edge and are also installing the D3. I do have a couple questions however: For the VSS, I noticed that the factory radio has speed sensitive volume. Usually this means the VSS can be found at the radio harness. Did you look into this or know which wire it may be? This'll be easier than going through the firewall. I looked in the engine compartment and it looks really crambed. How were you able to go through the firewall to get to the PCM? Did you use an existing grommet? I also have a small sub amp I'd like to install. Problem is that there isn't much room under the front seats, especially with the vents. Any suggestions for amp placement? Thanks!!!
  6. Can you send me the PDF as well? I'll be installing an aftermarket nav unit. Pioneer Avic-D3. Thanks!
