2010 Climate control

Dealer replaced the climate control unit and display dims now. -
I purchased a new 2010 Edge Limited about a month ago and noticed that the digital display on the climate control does not dim when the headlights come on. I find it rather strange that all the controls bottons on display dim but not the display. Is this normal? It's awful bright in the dark and seems strange they would go to the trouble of dimming controls which give off very little light compared to the lighted temperature display which is very bright at night.I've owned several vehicles in the past with digital climate controls and they all dimmed at night.
