2011 limited. this is why i am advising this as it is very dangerous. and this is why my transmission is all torn in pieces at the dealership. We have not been using the brake all the time, only on slopes. Going forward we will, but still scary to imagine if it rolled back onto a kid or into an on coming car. m

yes you are correct that is why they call it a parking brake and normally I would use it on steep slopes. 2 inches over 15 feet should not have been an issue. it is keyless and i can guarantee it was in park because that was the first thing that i checked when i opened the door. Majority of folks in automatics do not use the parking brake everytime they park. m

New issue for me on the edge. Pulled in the driveway, put the Edge in park, shut if off and went in the house. Came out 5 min later and found the car in the street. Now i have the emergency brake on everytime its in park. its been at the dealer for 2 days. No fix as of yet. Driveway has a very small incline maybe 2 inches over 15 feet. this is very scary. m

2011 Edge Limited, and i have the same clunk...scared the XXXX out of me when it happend. Dealer advised that nothing is wrong. !@#$@#$@#. Also had something crazy happen. Pulled in the driveway, put the edge in park, shut if off and went in the house. Came out 5 min later and found the car in the street. well after 3000Km i have had little to no issues.....................until now. 3 days ago the screen went blank, then the screen went to Sync performing system update. (I saw this before on the site no big deal......right) wrong!!! the system has crashed 3 times, when I connect the phone (BBerry Tour 9730) the radio will not play... I have pulled the fuse, no fix.. I have pushed the reset button, no fix. The screen has also went blank for 3 hours and could not operate the heater, radio, anything....in a place that is freezing like Canada this is a problem..I restarted the car only to have it crash again.....I personally think it had to do with that system update, as i had NO issues like this in the past. As for system update with ford....My dealership is not aware of any updates. I guess have to wait and see. Marvin

I have had the 2011 edge limited for about 1 week and noticed something odd with the Navigation. When i enter the address in the nav and am driving the screen states Km but the voice states Miles. Here is the odd thing. when i was driving on the highway it was saying 1/10 of mile turn right, then the next instruction it says in 800 meters turn left. I didn't change anysettings and this is doing it all by itself. Yesterday it only told me directions in miles. Any thoughts as to what is doing this. I can only find one spot on the vehicle that lets you select the units and i have mine set to Km. confused... has anyone had this issue. m

I agree with you on this. The advertisement stated the following: - Sync Services - weather updates, road conditions, etc. Only available in US. No mention of Canada in the works - Text to speech - I have a fairly new Bberry not supported. Wife has a new Samsung not supported. was told that again this is not a Canada offer. wtf. - Contact Photos,- none to be shown. - Album Art work Scroll - I have quite a large assortment of albums on my iPod and the "Advertisements" show that it will scroll like on itunes. Not. If they are not going to offer content regionally then they should state that. quite disappointed. m

isn't the master reset the same as a "boot button"????

Has anyone been able to make MFT display the album scroll left to right like in itunes??? Also looking for help in displaying the song list in the album after you select an Album/song. It displays the album art and the song title, want to be able to search another song on the album without having to browse all over.

received my new loaded limited on Tuesday this week, and have noticed the following: - the clock will not stay correct. always adjusts it self down by 1 hour. - the MFT screen is super slow......the ambient screen the globes don't move like on the video. you push a color and the globes stall. - the voice command is hit and miss. - the sync services are only available for US customers (ie. google maps, weather, traffic reports, etc) - paired phones disconnect and have to re pair. Looks like an update will be required some point when available. m

Very slow......not something I expected. All the videos show the thing much faster. Very disappointing.

I went on syncmyride and found out that this is a US only feature. Not sure why but I guess having the product built in Canada is no incentive to have these features available to us. M

had the same problem 2 times on my 2007 edge. they fixed it by replacing some sort of module in the driver seat. was told that is were the mirrors are controlled from. both times it was covered under warranty. m

was loving my edge til my wife backed into a 2007 mustang and b*tched up the back end. To make things worse some pr*ck ran a shopping cart up the side of it and now I have a scratch 2 feet long on the front passenger door. I tell you if I would have found the bast*rd I would have kicked his Azz. Not having too much luck right now with the edge. goes into the shop for repairs in a month. very sad Mr. Big
