  1. Thanks for posting that link. Now It would be nice if they showed what wires are needed off the factory head unit to hook this up! I got a 2011 Edge and there is no Aftermarket kit or Radio available due to how the factory installed the radio.
  2. Yes if I had it I know I would use it once in a while on my Edge. Our Explorer has it and it is nice if I am outside I can just hit the keypad instead of running into the house if I need something out of the car. A gimmick it is not.
  3. The benefit is that you can take your keys and hide them inside and lock the doors so when you are out and about you wont loose your keys or have to worry about keeping them in your pocket. It is also good for when somebody rides with you they can get it with out you giving them the keys.
  4. Yeah when you are driving try to stick your head up to the top corner of the door, if it like mine you will hear wind noise.
  5. No aftermarket Alarms are compatible with the factory system. The factory system must be disabled first. The remote start only should be able to work with the factory system, however you may need extra add ons to the remote start kit to make it interface with the stock system.
  6. Found out the issue in my Edge. It is the weatherstrip on the top edge of the drivers door where it hits the back door. You can see it does not seal 100% and the inner door seal is loose and is not glued down like older cars. I imagine if the inner seal was glued down the wind noise will be gone.
  7. Sounds OK, do you get the usual Exhaust Drone that comes with that type of Muffler?
  8. The only thing that is standard on the 2011 Edge is PATS, everything else is an option. I have a 2011 Edge and there is and never was a factory alarm system on it!
  9. Thank you for finding that link! It is an awesome job they did on that home made system.
  10. Like I said there is no O/D switch on a 2011 Edge, that is a grade assist button and your picture clearly states that. What that does is cancel Overdrive and puts the transmission into a different mode that alows it to brake when the vehicle meets certain conditions. Please read the picture that you attached so you can understand it is not a O/D button and so you can actually find out what the transmission does when you activate the grade assist feature. I cant find anywhere in the Manual where it says there is an O/D button on a 2011 Edge. Now on older vehicles there is a O/D switch and it does turn off O/D and that is all it does, on a 2011 Edge that switch does much more that the old school term you are using.
  11. Akirby there is no O/D switch on a 2011 Edge.
  12. Akirby there is no O/D switch on a 2011 Edge.
  13. You can buy a storage system directly from Ford to fit in there, the higher end Edge's come with this. Search this forum cause somebody here actually made their own storage system.
  14. I traded in a $17,000 (trade in value) (Owed $6000 on it) 2001 Corvette LEMON to offset the difference, forgot to add that in my post. I also had approx $4500 in rebates they gave me IIRC.
  15. I know on some it is actually located on the alarm its self. On the better units (non Ford) you will have it stuck up on the window. I am guessing it is under your dash on the alarm module/unit.
  16. Dude it is Tuesday, can you post the TSB?
  17. Really who on an Edge board is going to tell you to buy a Honda? It is like going to a Honda site and ask if you should buy a Ford, of course they will say a Honda!
  18. Yes a picture would show us all what it exactly would look like!
  19. Damn, I bought the factory EDGE sticker that goes on the back last year. I would for sure have bought this one instead.
  20. Hard to tell cause when I floor my stock Edge with the window open it sounds the same as your video. Got a outside idle clip to post?
  21. Yes where is this TSB located. I been searching and can not find anything on it!
  22. I would contact the Service manager or go directly to Ford.
  23. Too small? They are 18" rims.
