  1. I waited overnight and started the car up this morning. It was able to load the Nav system, so the SD slot is working again. The USB connection was cleared so I could reconnect my flash drive. Did not have to pull the fuse - not sure what fixed it other than perhaps something Windows did to clear things... Not planning to reconnect my iPod Touch until I get my hands on the iOS 4.2 update - have been reading posts indicating an unhappy relationship between iOS 4.x and Sync. 4.2 (supposedly) may have fixes which make them play better together.
  2. Just had something happen - getting a navigation system error indicating something is wrong with the SD card. So I tinkered with things a bit and found that my USBs are messed up too. And the system shows that my iPod Touch is connected to the USB. One tiny problem with that - it isn't connected! And my flash drive that is connected to USB is no longer working. Tried master reset with no luck. Turned off car and then restarted with no success. Looks like the system has gone haywire. Will try pulling fuse 29 in the morning to see if that will unjam things...
  3. Well, you are correct. It does FF with an iPod (I tried it with my iPod Touch). But it also takes quite a few seconds before doing much of anything. Would be much better if more responsive. That said, it DOES NOT FF when playing mp3's off a flash drive. At least not for me...
  4. This may be true for CDs (dunno, haven't played a CD in my Edge yet), but I've personally never been able to get FF to work when playing from a flash drive over USB. If one has to press and hold a while, it must need to be a loooong while... I think this might be a bug, and would certainly like FF to work. Even better, if FF could be made to work by pressing on the progress bar, that would be way nice. --Rick
  5. I have the same exact issue - none of the Sirius Travel Link services will activate. I also spent over an hour on the phone with Sirius - they sent an activation signal several times without success. I have been in touch with my dealer, and they want me to bring the vehicle in to have their folks work with Ford/Sirius to solve the problem. I suspect there is a software bug in the Sync system and that it may require an update from Ford. Either that or there is some special "trick" to get Travel Link to activate which isn't documented. The reflashing also seems to be an issue - I managed to download a Sync update, and tried to install. It would not apply. This is just one of those things with new software, there are always kinks to work through and the early adopters get the privilege of helping to find them... :yup: I'm anxiously awaiting a fix/solution. Regards, Rick
