  1. My wife's 2011 Durango has this and I don't like it as much. To make a call is a real PITA. It has far too many prompts and questions before it makes the actual call.
  2. Great post Paul! When IX first came out, I thought "what a load of crap!" Boy, I didn't have to use it too many times to see how it has helped everything, including brand new cars. I highly recommend this product!
  3. Get many stalking complaints?? Hehehhehehe
  4. Congrats on your first new car purchase and welcome to the forum!!

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome!
  6. Well, I gave up waiting. I had mine installed yesterday at my local Lincoln dealer. It does take some getting used to, but so far, so good. I will have to bring them in my package to replace theirs when I get it in the mail some time next year.
  7. I'll be sending you a pm with one I trust Monday.
  8. Did you post a thread? Got a link? I'm interested too.
  9. Congrats on your new ride and welcome to the forum!
  10. Other than a nano coating, Colli is amazing!! It will do great on your grille and wheels.
  11. I have a simple solution: just move to Canada and you won't get one, so you don't have to worry about it.
  12. Absolutey nothing but a whole lotta smoke being blown up all of our Canadian asses! They keep lying about the date...cheque's in the mail and Ford won't c;;e in your mouth! Ford's treatment of Canadians is pissing me off!!
  13. Keep the drill for you wheels only. You were given some good advice to go to Autogeekonline.net. They have some great videos for beginners and Mike Phillips (who's in charge of training) has a book for sale too. You will see me on there with the same username.
  14. A warm welcome from the bottom of Ontario!
  15. Ladybird, thanks for supplying the info. I ordered 2 of them to see what they're like. Now I'm set for a while, LOL.
  16. I'd be interested in an $8. charcoal one. Sounds very inexpensive. In my reading, only cheap paper ones were in that range, not charcoal. Pls provide the info.
  17. In the world of car care, there is probably no subject with more false information than caring for leather. Modern day vehicles' leather is coated, like a clear coat paint job on top of your leather. You need to just clean that coating. Dirt wears it down when ground into it. A mild cleaner wiped dry with a micro fiber is all you need. You can't feed the coating. That's just slick marketing.
  18. Ya, didn't you hear.....he's getting a synthetic oil cap!!!!
  19. I typically use Zep Citrus at 10:1. You can get it by the gallon at HD or Lowes. That's more for deep cleaning. There's a pad that I have that really, really helps with deep cleaning leather too.
  20. So I was trying to find a charcoal air cabin filter that fit the 2011 MKX. I found this Fram one, got it for $29.50 with free shipping on ebay. Fram's site even has an installation video!! http://www.framfreshbreeze.com/instructions/2011/LINCOLN/MKX Here's another one, slightly more expensive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fram-CF10547-Fresh-Breeze-Carbon-Cabin-Air-Filter-/320874901990?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2011|Model%3AMKX&hash=item4ab5a271e6&vxp=mtr
  21. Looking forward to seeing the pics when you're done! One more thing, with a white vehicle, you must get IronX, either the spray or the gel. You won't believe what will come off your brand new paint! It's great for getting rid of brake dust too. Amazing product!
  22. MrDave is right about the leather being coated. You just need to clean the coating and don't want to put anything on it that will just stick to the coating and attract more dirt. As far as the baby wipes go, I have never tried that. I would assume their cleaning ability is mild, which is good.
  23. I had been emailed with this number for their in-vehicle technology department: 1-888-658-6799. I called it 2 days ago and she said Canadians were not getting theirs even put into the mail until later this week. I am not expecting mine now for at least 2 weeks. Thankfully I have had very few problems. AXCL, I did not entertain the option of downloading from SMR b/c I don't want to be without the Nav either. I will just wait.

  25. Nothing for me yet. I'm calling the dealer and Ford tomorrow.
