Sirius Travel Link Traffic Information In KM/H

$40000+...really? Come on Ford. -
Yes, but for an Edge that I can verify works before I drive in off the lot.

I got 2.8 last week to address a non-responsive media button. Now, my iPod and iPhone's won't index so voice commands are broke. Awesome...!

Folks, please keep this going. If the same fix is working for people, then my dealer has no merit shutting the door on fixing this issue when I slap 3 or more pages of this thread in his face.
-
Anyone successfully get this issue addressed yet?
-
I have this exact same problem. Trying another dealer this weekend. The dealer I bought the vehicle from is incompetent, and couldn't "hear" it. Very frustrating.

The FWD Edge owns in the snow and slush!

Yep, one dump.

FWD 2011 Edge kicking ass in Buffalo, NY.

Will the Defective SYNC issue result in a Lemon Law Case?
ewmiller replied to pinkedge's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
I had to pull Fuse 29 once becuase my USB and BT Audio were completely unresponsive. Since then, things have been great with the Edge. I would buy another, and most likley with heated leather seats. -
Enjoy...!

Sorry to hear about that, it has to be the tires. I'm sure you've heard on the news last week, we had our thruway shut down and I persoanlly got 4' of snow. I couldn't be happier with the way the FWD Edge handled it all. Kudos to Ford again.

I just wanted to share my impressions of my new 2011 Edge (FWD) in the snow and ice. I live in Buffalo and we got our first snow fall of the year, about 6 inches. The roads in the neighborhood weren't plowed, and had a 2-3 inches of snow and ice mix. Like my wife's 2010 Escape (FWD), the Edge plowed through the conditions with ease. Further confirming that All Wheel Drive is basically an option that's overpriced and rarely, if ever, needed.

I wish my mileage was close to yours. I'm probably 60% highway, 40% city and only getting a little better than 20 MPG.

MyFord Touch is turning into a real piece of crap
ewmiller replied to rogersmj's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
I had my first "significant" problem with my MyFord Touch/Sync yesterday. The USB and BT Audio were completely unresponsive. The only thing that fixed it was pulling fuse 29. Hopefully, this isn't going to be a continual problem. As much as I love the comfortable ride and high end interior appearance, the less than good mileage and Sync issues are leaving a bad taste. -
For those who upgraded from an previous generation edge

I envy your 24+ MPG and everytime I see who's new to the 2011 Ford Edge Fuelly and see your mileage I just scratch my head and say WTF? Any way, I only have 1100 mile on mine and drive 15 miles each way, 75% on the thruway with stop and go on the way home. Probably not condusive for good mileage. My wife's 2010 Escape defintely does much better. -
I've got 1300 miles on my 2011 Edge SEL (FWD) and I'm averaging 20.4 MPG. Disappointed to say the least and not what I was expecting. Dr.Cpk, is your Edge AWD or FWD?

Since the owners manual has little to no information on this topic I'd like to ask some questions if anyone has experience. I'm looking to use this feature for highway driving to increase gas milage even further. 1. Will the SST shift automatically, up and down, basically allowing you to manually adjust gears as you see fit? 2. Can you shift from D to M (SST) during driving?
-
I live in Buffalo, NY and opted for FWD. Simple reason, they salt and plow the roads. I couldn't remember ever getting stuck in FWD unless I was driving like an idiot and went off the road. It comes down to practicality. Less money on the sticker, less gas consumption. No practical use. Why bother? These vehicles are pretty high off the ground, it would take a lot of effort or some very poor decision making to get stuck in snow.

I pick up mine this week. It's got to be better than my 2006 F-150 XLT 5.4L.
