I have white sport edge 2011. It has been 6 moth and still I have a plenty of fun anytime I need to drive. I have had absolutely no problem with mytouch system, and I am still on 1.8. One complain is obviously that is not as fast as I'd like but still doable. Hopefully the speed improve once I will get updated to 2.8. I have scheduled a maintenance in couple of days.

I wonder the same if this letter was sent to any Canadians... My syncmyride does not show any available update at all for me and I am still on Sync VersionGen2 - V1.8. Interesting that only showed briefly availability of 2.4 back in December and then disappeared after few days. I am not really interested to make an update as I have never had problem with mytouch. I am going to do this when new features will be added.

The best part is, that no one came forward and told the reason for not providing the sync service in Canada. You will not receive any explanation from neither a dealer nor even directly from Ford Canada.

An ability of a car to connect to WIFI is an aspect that I am actually very excited about. For one in near future you will be able to browse Internet while you parked next to the coffee shops or other places with open WIFI Internet. Also, if you Android user with 2.2 release you can already connect your car to its hot spot feature. There is plenty of information available on Internet concerning Ford’s AppLink. This is Ford’s API that will allow integrating your smartphone (Android, Blackberry and IPhones) applications with car’s mytouch and voice commands. I have had Sport Edition for a month now. I am still pretty excited. I must be among these lucky ones since I have no complain whatsoever. Touch interface could be faster but is not so bad... Never had a single incident with mytouch, no sudden reboot, black screen. The back camera gives very bright picture even at night. I have paired Nexus One from the first day and works very well.

No worries, I will call my dealer and find out the current status directly from him. I hope indeed White Platinum Edge Sport will be worth waiting...I had a hard time to choose between white and red candy color. The dealer had the red one on his parking lot, but a car was already sold. I decided to go for a white as otherwise I would have to place the factory order and wait at least 2 months. I don't think I would handle that... Update: EST October 18th

I ordered it from the dealer on 30th of September. However, this car was already made and ready to be shipped from a factory to a dealer in West Coast. At least this was based on the record what a dealer showed me at the time of the placing the order. I was also able to register with this VIN number on syncmyride.com. It identified properly my vehicle as Ford Edge Sport - white platinum. Thank you for checking.
