Ford PremiumCare ESP and Premium Maintenance Plans
tmbubell replied to wlepse's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
Canadians can purchase the USA sold ESP's I've had my Edge Sport since new and in 27 Months have 50,400 Km (31,500 Miles) on it I purchased the 5 year 75,000 Mile or 120,000 KM $50 Deductible plan from Troy Ford on their web site ( $1,140 no Tax) After exchange rate ($1,207CDN) . I got an automated email from Troy Ford stating they would process my contract in 3 business days Ed Wright FromTroy Ford sent me my contract on the Third day. My local Canadian Dealer confirmed that my ESP was on their system about a week later I saved over $1,800 + Taxes on this ESP by buying it from Troy Fords Website in the USA over my local Ford Dealer. I know most of the guys and girls in my Service Dept from my Roush track days and show and shines and they told me the deal I got was at least $1200 below the dealers cost for this plan in Canada -
Yes, This is the Ford Bug Deflector Its been over 2 years and 31,000 miles/ 50,000 km and the deflector has held up well and I still have all 5 of those knobs stuck to the hood of the car under the deflector

Same Problem with my 2011 Edge Sport . Ford has messed this up somehow - not considering the paint was going on a plastic bumper instead of metal so processes needed to be different or something Dealer said they would repaint them to match but I have never had much luck with non factory paint holding up to driving conditions - non factory paint seems to chip a lot easier. He also mentioned that the bumpers are not painted at the same location as the Edge Body. I have also noticed that my fuel door is doing the same thing

Update is on the web site now What’s included in this update? DA5T-14D544-BD Gen2 - V3.6.2 The latest SYNC® update includes all of the improvements from previous updates, plus additional benefits, such as: Information display on the homescreen for HD, Sirius (if equipped), and FM radio sources Simplified graphics and improved usability Enhanced voice destination entry for SD Card Navigation (if equipped) Improved Navigation vehicle positioning (if equipped) Rear view camera guidelines set to ON by default (if equipped) Updated SYNC/device compatibility information The installation of this update will take up to 30 minutes to complete. Be sure to keep your engine running, not in accessory mode, throughout the entire installation process. Turning off your vehicle during the update installation will disrupt the process. Although your vehicle must be in park when you begin the installation process, you may drive your vehicle while the update is downloading to your SYNC system. If your vehicle is equipped with the Intelligent Access with Push Button Start feature, you will need to temporarily disable the Automatic Engine Idle Shutdown (AEIS) component before beginning the installation in order to prevent your vehicle from timing out and shutting off the engine before the software update is complete. To disable this feature, use your steering wheel controls to navigate to the Settings menu on your left-hand Instrument Cluster LCD display. From there, select Vehicle >Auto Engine Off >Off. (If you do not see this setting, there is no need to make any changes before starting the update.) Alternatively, after initiating the installation, you may drive the vehicle during the update process to avoid the engine shutting off. The AEIS will automatically reset to "On" the next time you start your vehicle. Please note: During the update installation, SYNC will temporarily appear to not recognize your mobile phone or media device. This is normal. When your system has been successfully updated, SYNC will display a notification saying, "Installation complete."

Question I had the trim piece that the camera mounts behind replaced. The camera now has a little play/wiggle to it when cleaning I can't remember if that is normal or if it was solid before and didn't move when cleaning Is your camera solid or have a little play? Thanks

Car doesn't stop smoothly, it pulsates.

About to buy a 2011 Ford Edge Sport
tmbubell replied to Akash Yadav's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
I have the same Edge Sport that i bought brand new in May 2011 - $46000 + taxes from the Lower Mainland, British Columbia Wow, that means my Edge Sport has lost $21,000 in 18 Months of ownership. Check the Vin # with ICBC and make sure nothing happened to it, also ask if it was a rental company return Other than that it looks like you are getting a really good deal. -
Here is what I did last year: Posted 19 November 2011 - 04:35 AM I went with 235/65/17 BFgoodrich Slalom KSI (4) Black Steel Wheels (4) 235/65/17 BFgoodrich Slalom KSI (4) TPMS Brand New Set up: installed, mounted, balanced , Taxes, enviro fees, OTD $ 1,194 Canadian (- Minus $50 BFgoodrich mail in, dealer 100 bonus air miles) Total OTD Cost $ $1,144 The dealer reprogrammed my edge sport awd to the new size so the speedo is accurate Fitment is good and no clearance issues The only difference i felt in the braking and handling was it seemed a bit easier to turn the steering wheel, less resistance Update Gas mileage and acceleration has improved with the smaller tire The idea is the smaller the tire the better it cuts through the snow

I got it with my 2003 Steeda Focus in 2005 for $499 (I Think) , Sirius transferred it to my 2007 Roush Mustang for free in 2007 and then transferred it to the Edge for $75 in 2011.

Noticed something else with the update other than temp display. I have a lifetime Sirius radio subscription and after the update all of my sync services are working and say subscribed weather, movies, gas etc. Never worked before in Canada
