Thanks I will give that a shot, I did turn on that Gracenote Cover thing once, but it just threw in a generic Pop or Rock for something for my Cover Art when playing a track so I turned it off immediately, didn't go to the Browse area when the Gracenote thing was turned on. I was thinking Gracenote updates were part of Nav, at least I believe they were on the Fusion, I don't have a Nav in my Edge, does that mean I have no Gracenote Cover Art as well?

How exactly do you get to the cover flow view (you know where you can see your album artwork, similar to iTunes) I have all my mp3's working individually with Album Art when playing (usb by the way) just was looking for the option of flipping from Album to Album, I believe I saw somewhere where that may only work while in Park, but I haven't seen it there either. Limited it is. Got it this afternoon, Kona Blue with the Black Leather Interior. Drivers Entry Package and Vista roof only.... So what sort of milage did you get, I am really close to pulling the trigger and interested in the HWY MPG, as most of my 40 mile commute is on the HWY.

I am basically looking now at a base model Limited with only the Driver's Entry package and the Roof. So no HID's for me, those are only in one of the Option Packages. Later all, wish me luck on a deal this weekend.

I live in NC though, and remote start would be just a toy except in the summer, I see most everyone wants to know how it works to warm up the car. No need here, mine remote start would be to cool that baby down.. LOL

I am getting pretty close on pulling the trigger on a new Edge, I am looking at the very low end Limited's, generally only with the Driver Entry Package - MSRP 35890, there aren't a whole lot of those to chose from though, most Limited's and in the low 40's. I know I would option up the SEL to get the Touch / Leather Seat upgrade package, and most of them around here added the same Chrome wheels as the Limited. So I am asking what am I really missing out on? Wood Grain, HD Radio, the Shiny Black Console, I know there are features in the Driver Entry as well that I would like (Push Button Start, Liftgate, Remote Start) Should I go with the LTD with only Driver Entry Package, or save a grand or 2 on the SEL?

Man I hope it gets much better then what you all are seeing. I drive 80 miles round trip to work and back. All highway except just off and on at either end. I am hoping to get the 27 number. I have an 01 pathfinder today that gets 20.

I don't want to clutter the thread, but where does the so called Costco Member Only Price compare to Invoice?

Is it just me or did the Invoice prices on all Ford's come down a little bit... I know I was looking at both Fusion Hybrid and Edge Limited, and now on Edmunds they have dropped a few hundred bucks at least. Fusion Hybrid - MSRP 32,820 Old Invoice was 30,439 now it is 30,021 Edge Limited w/ Driver Entry - MSRP 35890 Old Invoice ???? New Invoice 33,442 I can't remember the old Invoice on the Edge but I don't remember it being 2,400 off of MSRP. The reason I ask is I have a dealer that sells at Invoice, and with the now $1,500 rebate on the EDGE this might actually happen. Thanks, Jason

Thanks all for posting, I did know of the Holdback, but I still can't believe that is enough, I did google search and found some information about Dealer Incentives (back-door money) it is sometimes called. About this Vincent thing, what exactly is that, I have heard some things, but not totally clear.. Something about a way to check on all incentives or something, does this check on these Dealer Incentives I speak of?

I know this may be an odd question, but I am going to ask anyway. It seems like every dealer at least here in Charlotte is willing to sell their cars for invoice + TTL and Doc Fee usually around 599. The x-plan turns out to be a better deal while the price is slightly higher then invoice but is made up by the maximum of 75 doc fee. The real question I have I guess is how can dealers be selling cars all over the place for what they supposedly paid for it, sure they are killing it on the doc fees, but it seems to me that we are being played by this thing called invoice. We the consumer feel like getting the car at invoice is some great deal where I feel this cannot be the price a dealer is paying. Or even close for that matter. Should we asking for invoice less 1000 or more. Am I crazy for thinking this, it just seems like none of them want to haggle since they are already giving us the best price by giving it to us at invoice, I just don't buy it.

Yes iTunes tagging appears to work fine, I actually test drove a Kona Blue Limited today at Lunch. All I can say is wow, I am ready now.. Anyway when my iPhone4 was connected via the USB cable, it worked perfectly with the Album Art and all. I think what Akirby is talking about, is some of the features that have been shown with a Droid and apps like Pandora, you can actually use SYNC to control Pandora for example, I think that was on the 11 Focus maybe? Don't remember, so what I was asking about the chip was is this a software type fix, in that some time down the road they will add this software chip (handshake) to allow the iPhone to work with SYNC to control apps like Pandora, or is it some physical hardware piece that is getting added down the road to allow this.

When you say "SYNC doesn't have it now but will in a few months." Are you talking about a hardware chip, if so would us iPhone users be out of luck if we were to buy a current Edge without this, should we be waiting until the chip is in, before we get a new Edge?

So do you have a new Edge/MKX, what are your thoguhts on the My Touch interface...?

Not sure if this is the right place or not, but I would think so, since it is only available on the 11's. Can you guys/gals give some updates on My Ford/Lincoln Touch. Like how it is working, is it slow, what are some of the best features. I was looking at and am still debating between a Fusion and Edge, and the systems are different, I like what I see in the Fusion but the Edge is supposed to be cutting edge. I know we have all seen the commercials and the you tubes of how it works, I just wanted some real life experiences of how it is working. Thanks.

I would guess if they really know what they are doing, they would only pre-install the Plate Bracket, if shipping to a state that requires front plates. I live in NC, and we only have rear plates, so I would not want it either. Akirby?

I figured you would say that the '11's look sweet. I need to work on the wife, she gets like a $3000 (before taxes) bonus for buying a hybrid from her work, so that would make a loaded Hybrid about 28 or so after X-Plan where as an SEL / Limited equipped the way I would like would be around 33 on the X-plan with a current $1000 incentive. Is the 5k and 10 less mpg on the highway worth the new Edge.

akirby thanks for the wealth of knowledge you add to this forum. But I recently got a quote from a Dealer on a Fusion Hybrid that appeared to have the $725 in it. And on fordpartner.com I see a note stating the following - "1 Pricing subject to change without notice. Optional equipment, $725 destination/delivery, taxes, title, and license fees extra." So this leads me to believe the X-Planner's do pay the destination fees. And the price quoted was exactly what was listed on fordpartner.com with the $725 added. Any thoughts? We have dealers at least here is NC that have offers like True-Invoice-Pricing for example. They take the Invoice and add $49.00 for a no haggle type price. I believe this would be better then the X-Plan if I am not mistaken.
