  1. White sure looks purdy on a SPORT, the best with your new ride !
  2. If it was mine, I would leave as is, but then again, do what YOU like the best, after all, it is your car !
  3. Hey Edgyman, how about posting some pics on this.
  4. Years ago, I had a Taurus that had headrests that went up and down, and also had a tilt adjustment. Maybe Ford should go back to that style. It was either my 1988 Taurus LX, or my 1993 SHO (still miss that awesome car).
  5. So, you'll have 2 new babies, congrats on the Edge and your newborn to come ! The Edge will be around the 20th, how about you new baby?
  6. I don't know for sure, but I think that it has ended by now. The '12's will be out in about 3 months.
  7. Lucas tire slick works great, tires look nice and black and shiny, and they DO NOT turn brownish, like most petroleum bases products do. Put it on the tires, a week later, washed the car, and the tires still had a nice shine to them, without reaplying. Very satisfied with the product. Joe
  8. I think that cautious is a very nice color. Lat summer, My '06 Explorer had rear axle bearing and shaft go out, rear wiring harness, frozen spark plugs that was all covered under extended warranty, sure glad I took it. A gamble maybe, but I rather gamble on warranties, then to dump a bunch of $$$'s at the casino's that we have here in NJ at Atlantic City !
  9. GO FOR IT ! Looks good, and why not treat yourself. Life's too short to hold off on things ! Let us know what you selected. Happy Memorial weekend. Joe
  10. What you have to do, is get to your dealer, a definate defect.
  11. You might want to add your location.
  12. Congrat's on your purchase, and welcome to FORD COUNTRY ! Smart choice, min my books, with going with the extended warranty. Which one ( miles/time period) did you get? Some people in this forum, think that it is a waste of money, but with my '06 Explorer, it paid for itself 3 times over. Yes, did have a few problems after the 3/36 warranty. It's kind of like "term" life insurance. You pay for a specific period of time, then it's over, but you have the protection. Way back, I bought a new '95 Explorer, kept it 7 years, 140K miles, sold it to friends, for their daughter who wqas in college ( backmin '02 ), and she just sold it a month ago, with over 200k MILES, AND NO MAJOR PROBLEMS. Just follow your owners manual with maintenance, and you'll be good as gold.
  13. for the heck of it, why not go onto Kelly Blue Book ( WWW.KBB.COM ) and price it out. This is what our dealership uses for trades.
  14. For the most part, I don't think that they think about resetting the oil life thingy. The Ford dealer that we dealt with for 17 years NEVER did a reset. Our Lincoln dealership always resets it, just part of their policy. I have my Explorer serviced their now, too, and they reset my oil life, so it's not like Lincolns do it, and Fords don't, it's just up to the service departments procedures.
  15. Can you give us some examples for Nav, bluetooth, Stereo, etc? Thks
  16. Welcome to the forum, your car look nice.
  17. If you plan to keep it 7 years, a smart choice. We took a 7 yr / 100,000 on my wife's '09 MKS. Technology can get might expensive in repairs. It's kind of like term life insurance. Do you go for it, or not ?
  18. Now how about that ! Yup, it's some good stuff. So are the Polka bands from Ohio !
  19. I'd like to see some new colors for '12's. MBM is okay, maybe they can "tone it down" a bit.
  20. Someone correct me, if I'm wrong, but I believe that HD radio technology is only available in the Limited and Sport models.
  21. AUTOANYTHING.COM has a wide selection of things, give them a try.
  22. As far as I'm concerned, extended warranty is a smart choice. I took it out on my '06 Explorer, and it was a smart decision. Last summer, some of the covered repairs were rear wheel bearing and axle, rear wiring harness, "frozen" spark plugs ( 2 of them), and a few other things that I don't recall off the top of my head. A friend that has same year Explorer had the rear bearing go bad, never mind split axle, and it was a repair that cost them over $2,300. With all the other problems I had, I think I'm way ahead of the game, with the warranty. I took out a 5 year/75,000 mile one. It will expire December of this year, but I plan to be in a new Edge or MKX when the '12's come out. Mine was the Ford ESP one. Which one did you take? Back then, my cost was $1,100. Smart choice you made as far as I'm concerned, others might differ, but not me ! Joe
  23. Back in '93, I leased a Taurus SHO. It was a love/hate relationship. Loved the car, hated all the friggin problems with it. i bitched enough, for all my problems (over 15 in less than 2 years), they let me do a early termination, and gave me back $ 1,500 towards a new Ford product. That was decent of them, considering back then, my monthly lease was around $220, but I had to go to the top to get this. I wouldn't settle for this Edge, DEMAND a new one.
  24. All that I can suggest, is to go to a local auto/Truck shop, that specializes in lift kits. Maybe your dealer can guide you to someone they might know of.
