  1. Not too funny, if you're in the Mortuary business !
  2. Ditto, I would wait for a '12, unless you need new wheels ASAP. Some new colors coming out, might find something you really like. If you're anywhere near the Cleveland area, say hi to my buddies in Northfield and Sagamore Hills !
  3. Thanks for the info Vince, will check it out.
  4. We got the tire and rim pckage on my wife's MKS. DO you think that it will cover for scraped (gouged) wheels? We have the 19", they are the brushed and charcoal ones
  5. The keypad will include memory seats, if the car is quuipped with that option.
  6. And what is UPGP, and where do you buy it? Joe
  7. :happy feet: Another GREAT product on the market is a product called Nano Diamond Shield. I used it on our cars 4 months ago, and when I wash it, or it rains, the water beads up like crazy. The website is 'WWW.NANODIAMONDSHIELD.COM'. It is guaranteed to last for 12 months. There are video's on it, shows how it works. I googled it, and many people raved about the product. A member of this forum, Richy, has a product called Cquartz, that he swears by, also another member Edgieguy. My only complaint, is that I have free time on my hands. Before, using regular carnuba waxes, I would do our cars every 6-8 weeks, now I haven't touched them in 4 months, using N.D.S. ! You can buy it online at their website, but you can get it cheaper at Pep Boys or Advanced Auto Store. I first used it on my '06 Explorer (Dark Stone), which I plan to replace with a '12 MKX, then, when I saw the results, and how EASY it was to apply and wipe off, I did my wife's MKS ( Cinnamon ). The only suggestion I have, is, if a car hasn't been waxed for a while, is to first go over it with a wax with a cleaner in it ( I used Meguires cleaner wax ), to remove any embedded dirt. This stuff really seals the paint, and one hell of a job on the windows, and wheels. LOL with what ever you choose. Joe
  8. If you plan on buying/leasing a whole more bunch of cars, MAYBE so, it is a gamble, just like life itself. I rather have piece of mind, then some extra bucks in my pocket. If you plan to unload a car after 3 or 4 years, yeah, bag the warranty. If you plan to keep 5-7 years, I would go for the extension. Heck, I'm over 55, won't be saving a whole bunch of bucks, and if I haven't already saved for retirement, then I'm screwed.
  9. :happy feet: Sweet looking ride, enjoy. I'm sure that you will be VERY happy with you Edge. As far as not having the BAMR, you can do without, OR, go to a reputable shop, and have them put in a regular moon roof. A friend did that with his Mercury, turned out real sweet. Maybe your dealership can recommend a place near you. I'm sure they have had other customers in your shoes. Joe
  10. I did a friends black 2002 Town car, used Maguires cleaner & wax, came out great. Then toped it off with Nano Diamond Shield (.COM). Used it on the MKS 4 months ago, still beading up like it waas done yesterday. By the waym where the hell is Wapakoneta near ???
  11. Post some pics, if you can. Thanks, Joe
  12. Give me the same system that's in my wife's MKS, with 9G hard drive, that you can load CD's into.
  13. I would leave it be, BUT, there is a product on the market, called Dr. Color Chip. The websaite is Drcolorchip.com, and the phone number is (866) 372-2548. This product is supposed to fill in a chip and road rash, and turn out smooth with no "paint glob". You dab it on, smear it, and then blend. I'm going to order it for our MKS, as we just got a chip on the middle of the hood. LOL Joe OOOPS, didn't notice others already posted on this product, but here's the phone & website.
  14. GREAT to hear all checked out okay. Enjoy, and many happy motoring miles with it. I had a '95 Explorer that I sold to a friend for their daughter, it had 140,000 + miles on it, and she kept it to over 200,000 ! Just keep up with suggested maintenance as per the owners manual, and it will probably run forever. Our friends daughter sold the '95, and ran strong as hell, she just wanted a new car. Joe
  15. Sweet ride, enjoy. Hope the hip surgery goes smoothly.
  16. :happy feet: Congradulations, and LOL with it. What options does it have ?
  17. Had a similar situation with my 06 Explorer. didn't start making noise until I hit 65 mph. Turns out that it was the right rear wheel bearing, covered under the extended warranty I have on the car. All now ok.
  18. Edge is nice (front end) but like the ass on the MKX much more. Yeah, maybe the MKX is a old mans car, heck, I am over 50, still feel like a kid, and want to be spoiled silly with luxury ! :happy feet:
  19. I wash my car weekly, sometimes more, and I just wash the wheels last, with the car wash that I used on the car, but I do use a seperate mit for the wheels only. I use regular car wax on the wheels, and they hold up quite well. For the tires, I use Lucas slick mist. It's water based, so no problem with tires turning brown, as when using petroleum based products.
  20. Correction, it's NOT a purse, or a carryall, it's a MAN BAG !
  21. They look good, but do they cover a larger area than the original mats?
  22. How about EDGE 1, EDGE 2, Edge 3, etc........ MYEDGE1, MYEDGE2, etc.
  23. Thanks for the info, will check out the MKX, if it has it listed. Like the Idea of turn signal indicators in the mirror, should have been there from the getgo.
