    • Timing cover is an RTV bead (or was in the 2011 version), but I'd probably do the crank seal. Valve cover gaskets and spark plug tube seals, cam phaser solenoid seals, and yes, I think there are upper and lower intake seals. I'd be willing to bet they come in a kit You'll need tools to lock cams at the correct position, pull the crank hub, and press it back on, assuming yours is like mine was (fusion, not edge)
    • My sister bought a new car but I'm going to replace the pump in my garage.  My niece will take the car and use it for her last year of college.   I have decided *against* changing the cam phasers but will replace the pump, guides, and tensioner.      Does anyone have a list of parts that I will need such as gaskets etc?  I imagine I'd need intake gaskets and valve cover gaskets, but wonder if I'm missing something. I'd like to order everything in advance before she brings it by.  Thanks.   John
    • I just purchased a used 2020 Edge SEL AWD.   I now noticed the drivers side fog light does not work.  On close inspection it is full of water.   I can bang on the assembly and get it to flicker.  For the life of me I cannot find an easy way to access the fog light assembly.   Where can I find any instructional material on disassembly/reassembly? I suspect I might have to remove some of the front bumper trim, wheel well, etc to access.   At the very least I need to remove and reseal it to keep the moisture out.
    • I read on a Ranger forum about a small screen located in the turbo oil line that can plug up and ruin the turbo. I'm guessing the 2.0 has this screen too. Has anyone here replaced it and how big of a deal is it?
    • I wonder if the GM 9T50 gets the same complaints from: 2020– Cadillac XT6 (2.0 T LSY, 3.6 L LGX) 2019– Chevrolet Blazer (2.5 L LCV)[11] 2017– Chevrolet Malibu (2.0 T LTG) 2020– GMC Acadia (2.5 L LCV)[10]
    • Text sourced from @Haz   Field Effect Transistor (FET) Protection The BCM utilizes an Field Effect Transistor (FET) protective circuit strategy for many of its outputs, for example, lamp output circuits. Output loads (current level) are monitored for excessive current (typically short circuits) and are shut down (turns off the voltage or ground provided by the module) when a fault event is detected.   A Field Effect Transistor (FET) is a type of transistor that the control module software uses to control and monitor current flow on module outputs. The Field Effect Transistor (FET) protection strategy prevents module damage in the event of excessive current flow.   Output loads (current level) are monitored for excessive current draw (typically short circuits). When a fault event is detected the Field Effect Transistor (FET) turns off and a short circuit DTC sets. The module resets the Field Effect Transistor (FET) protection and allows the circuit to function when the fault is corrected or the ignition state is cycled off and then back on.   When the excessive circuit load occurs often enough, the module shuts down the output until a repair procedure is carried out. Each Field Effect Transistor (FET) protected circuit has three predefined levels of short circuit tolerance based on a module lifetime level of fault events based upon the durability of the Field Effect Transistor (FET). If the total tolerance level is determined to be 600 fault events, the three predefined levels would be 200, 400 and 600 fault events.   When each level is reached, the DTC associated with the short circuit sets along with DTC U1000:00. These Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be cleared using the module on-demand self-test, then theClear DTC operation on the scan tool (if the on-demand test shows the fault corrected). The module never resets the fault event counter to zero and continues to advance the fault event counter as short circuit fault events occur.   If the number of short circuit fault events reach the third level, then Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) U1000:00 and U3000:49 set along with the associated short circuit DTC . DTC U3000:49 cannot be cleared and the module must be replaced after the repair.
    • Have you tried to test the connection with a multimeter to see if there is voltage to the turn signal?
    • If the front turn signal is working, then there should be no problem with the front turn signal bulb. The bulb has two filaments, a bright turn signal and dim marker light. The marker light is most likely disabled and not used.
    • I think we need a survey of all the people here who have complained to their dealer about this... Question: who here has complained and had their dealer say "really? We've had no other complaints and Ford isnt aware of a problem". I'd guess everyone had that response at first.    It was the same response I got to my exploding sunroof, but i had already printed out 30 separate examples that i quickly grabbed off google. Gave it to the service guy for some light reading.
